摘要:
An approach to experimental control and data logging for multiple analytical stations is considered. A very economical, yet reliable, scheme uses a host computer to serve a number of less powerful satellite systems which control individual experiments and can be operated temporarily independently of the host. An example of communications between systems is detailed in which machine language subroutines called by high level languages provide reliable data transfer and control flexibility for special needs.

摘要:
A simple and inexpensive computer-controlled automatic sampler is described for use with an inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometer system. The entire system is based on a modified commercially available sampler subsystem coupled with a commercial inductively coupled plasma spectrometer. The modifications provide both computer-control capability and independent variable rinse and preanalysis sample flush time periods. Control of the automated sampler is accomplished through existing hardware and software present on the minicomputer dedicated to the spectrometer. Addition of this versatile sampler system has increased efficiency and productivity of the inductively coupled plasma during routine water analysis applications.

摘要:
Details of a data acquisition system controlled by a SYM-1 single-board microcomputer are presented. The total cost of constructing the system was approximately $300. The system's variable gain amplifier coupled with a 10 bit analog-to-digital converter can be used to interface the SYM-1 to many laboratory instruments. In this report the data system is used to digitally integrate sample peaks from a high pressure liquid chromatograph.
