摘要:
Techniques have been developed for casting both solid and hollow lung models from rat-lung specimens. To make a solid model, an air line at a positive pressure of 25 cm of water was connected to the trachea to air-dry lungs which had been removed surgically from the animal. Using the lost wax technique, a hollow cast of the airways and the nasopharynx was made. A mechanical breathing system, capable of simulating different breathing patterns, was developed.

The electronics, construction and use of a low cost lock-in amplifier suitable for AC polarography are described. The device operates from 10 Hz to 10 kHz in 1,2,5 multiples of frequency. Components for the unit cost about $150.

摘要:
The design and construction of a stable 4½ digit microvolt meter which uses inexpensive and readily available integrated circuits and components is described. The input impedance is such that the meter can be used with glass electrodes and other high resistance ion selective electrodes. Precautions required for satisfactory operations are described.

A Motorola M6800 based interface to an ESR spectrometer is described. The interface extends the capability of a conventional ESR spectrometer to enable it to perform a variety of additional tasks, e.g. signal averaging, transient recording, etc. at a minimal cost.
