摘要:
A computer-driven pump controller capable of providing voltage, current and pulsed outputs for up to five pumps in analytical systems is described. The controller is ideal for situations which require remote control of speed and direction for many pumps of different types. The design is based on the Advanced Micro Devices 9513 system timer chip and provides 0-10 V, 0-25 mA and pulsed TTL outputs to control each pump. In addition, phase-locked loop circuitry allows feedback for speed regulation of certain pumps. For control of stop/start, direction or other functions, eight independently programmable TTL outputs are provided. The controller is inexpensive and designed to be driven from the parallel printer port of an IBM PC compatible computer for maximum portability. Other uses of the interface are also possible.

摘要:
An instrument suited for FTFAM (Fourier Transform Faradaic Admittance Measurements) has been constructed. It is controlled by two DSP:s (Digital Signal Processors, TMS32010) and a PC (Personal Computer) is used as main controller. The signal processors share program and data memory with the PC which permits fast data transfer and program downloading. One DSP generates the excitation waveform while the other acquires the potential and current signals. Frequencies up to 10 kHz are used in real time multifrequency analysis of electrochemical cells.

A stand-alone version of the instrument automation and control program SPECOS (SPECtroscopy Operating System) has been developed for general laboratory data management, for data manipulation and processing, and for generation of presentation graphics and high quality plots. For data management, this program (SPECOS SA) provides features for data file creation, storage management, record keeping, report generation and automatic multiple file processing. For data manipulation it provides standard arithmetic functions, statistical procedures, smoothing, fitting, derivative and integral calculations, auto-and cross-correlation, and a wide variety of data transformations. The graphing and plotting functions support a variety of plotters and laser printers allowing variation of pen (color), line widths and types, plot symbols, bar graph characteristics, multipanel plots and complex graticule outlines. The program includes on-line help features and is provided with a set of instructional tutorials and test files.

摘要:
A software program has been implemented to meet the requirements of an acknowledge enabled and Handshake protocol for reading, transmitting and saving of data from a SPEX Dàtamate controller to a VAX computer at real time scanning. The logic of the program can easily be applied to similar analytical instrumentation and computers. It stands forward as powerful method for data acquisition and processing and provides the basis for further calculations and plotting routines.

摘要:
A method for serial data transmission from a signal averager (EG&G Model 4202), which stores the data in parallel form, to a VAX computer has been developed. A personal computer, such as an ABC 80 (low cost), serves as an interface for parallel to serial conversion between the signal averager and the VAX computer. The ABC 80 machine reads the data in the averager, by means of a program written in BASIC, and sends them to the VAX computer. A FORTRAN program receives and stores the data on VAX computer. In addition, the FORTRAN program plot the data on different peripherals such as a laser printer, a X-Y plotter or a graphical terminal using graphic commands from UNIRAS, which is an impeded library program. The system has been used to transfer data from an electron spin resonance instrument to the central VAX computer.

摘要:
The ballistic superiority of various fabric and resin types was examined using ballistic testing, Instron, and peel test data. All cured samples were made at 1000 p.s.i. for 10 minutes at 105°C except S-M/P panels. The latter were fabricated at 1000 p.s.i. for 10, 20, 30, and 60 minutes at 117°C. Data was insufficient to conclude the superiority of the surface treated laminates. However, it suggests the advantage of 10 minute curing time in S-M/P laminates and clearly points out the better kinetic energy absorption of spectra over kevlar. Yet, kevlar or predominantly kevlar laminates show the best Instron and peel test data.
