摘要:
Some aspects of feedback technique in optical systems are examined. The eigenfunctions suitable for describing systems where both space and frequency limitations occur are discussed. Applications to the generation of super-resolving pupils and to the band unlimited restoration of images are presented.

摘要:
An improved holographic method to obtain the three patterns, that is, Nisida and Saito's pattern, Fourney and Mate's pattern and dark-field isochromatics in photoelasticity is studied. The present method is to record two components of object polarization separately on a holographic plate and to reconstruct them by using orthogonally polarized reference beams through an alternating arrangement of strip polarizers whose adjacent transmission axes are perpendicular to each other. In this experimental method the three patterns are more easily obtained from a single double-exposure hologram than in the method of Lohmann used to reconstruct object polarization.

摘要:
The effects of primary coma and astigmatism in the colour distribution of the polychromatic point-spread function are studied for diverse values of these aberrations. Dispersive wave-aberration coefficients, more significant in the chromaticity distribution than the constant ones, have also been studied in this paper. Moreover, the relative influence of the aberrations in the colour of the off-axis image is shown, so that the colour distribution for every optical system can be predicted from its aberrations. Finally the tolerances for the monochromatic aberrations when the illuminance reaches 0·8 and their corresponding colour distributions are obtained. The influence of the spectral distribution of the source is shown simultaneously.

摘要:
A method is proposed for the determination of the modulation transfer function (MTF) of optical systems with symmetrical spread functions. In the image of a variable slit the central irradiance is measured and from that the MTF is calculated by means of a suggested formula on a desk calculator. A device, characterized by its simplicity, for MTF measurements of lenses is described and a test lens from SIRA with known MTF is evaluated.

摘要:
Cet article a pour but de généraliser le théorème de réciprocité connu pour les réseaux utilisés en réflexion aux réseaux diélectriques utilisés en transmission. Une démonstration s'appuyant sur le théorème de Green est proposée. On montre que ce théorème découle d'une propriété d'invariance des équations de Maxwell et est relié aux propriétés de symétrie de la matriceSutilisée en mécanique quantique. La propriété énoncée est vérifiée par des calculs numériques dans des conditions très diverses. Elle constitue un test de validité pour les programmes numériques.
