摘要:
This work is devoted to the deigmaidolon effect, which is the spontaneous formation of multiple images of a single object due to the sampling of the object far-field Fourier spectrum. A way of improving the impulse response of the deigmaidolon coherent optical system is presented, based on the illumination of the object by a spherical converging beam of coherent light. The experiment is devoted to the verification of the theoretical results.

摘要:
The present communication demonstrates the preparation of interference filters with predetermined half-band width (2 δ λ) and band wavelength (λmax) of maximum transmittance. Methods suggested in the literature ensured the preparation of interference filters for which only 2 δ λ was predetermined. With the half-width dependence on filter parameters and the condition for maximum band transmittance in mind, a new method for preparing interference filters with prescribed 2 δ λ and λmaxis suggested. The manufacture of interference filters by the method given is easily achieved. The application limits of this new method are demonstrated. This method is applicable to both symmetrical and asymmetrical filters.

摘要:
In addition to the functionrp= ƒ(rs, ϕ) (whererpandrsare amplitude reflection coefficients for components of the electric vector parallel and perpendicular to the plane of incidence), for the interface between isotropic transparent and absorbing media found by Azzam [1], similar relations are obtained with all Fresnel's complex-amplitude coefficients—for electric and magnetic fields, TE and TM waves, and transmission and reflection. These relations are independent of the dielectric functions of the two media.
