摘要:
A procedure has been developed for determining the gross refractive index variations in infra-red transmitting materials. The technique uses an infra-red interferometer operating at 10·6 μm, with a pyroelectric vidicon (or any other suitable T.V. compatible) fringe visualization device, interfaced to a digital T.V. frame store. Representative examples of the results obtained are shown.

摘要:
A brief description is given of the application of the principle of equivalent layers to the design of multilayer dielectric mirrors with the ultimate reflectance. It is assumed that the mirrors are made of two dielectric materials, both of which have residual absorptance. The advantage of the design procedure is that the absorptance of a mirror is minimized at each step with respect to the thicknesses of all the layers.

摘要:
Nous présentons ici une étude sur des filtres interférentiels réalisés avec des couches de cryolithe et de fluorure de plomb. Pour ces types d'empilements, la nature de la surface du substrat influe notablement sur les caractéristiques optiques du filtre et nous montrons que des couches préliminaires peuvent amener une amélioration du profil expérimental. De plus, malgré l'absorption important du fluorure de plomb, on peut réaliser des filtres double onde ayant des caractéristiques intéressantes (T max ⩾ 50 pour cent, Δ λ ⩽ 4 nm). Cependant, nos résultats expérimentaux sont nettement inférieurs aux prévisions théoriques. Nous pensons que ceci peut être attributé principalement au manque de sensibilité de notre système de contrôle pour certaines couches très critiques.

摘要:
A new type of common path interferometer using a modified zone-plate developed for testing aspheric surfaces is described. The modified zone-plate is made by combining two kinds of zone-plates; the semicricular part of the plate produces the spherical wave, and the remainder the desired aspheric wave. These are synthesized by digital computation. A method of computation for synthesizing the modified zone-plate and some experimental results of the test of parabolic mirrors are given.
