Abstract[Co3(1,2‐S2C6H4)3(PPh3)3][CoBr3(DMF)]sol (1, sol=CHCl3·O(C2H5)2·H2O) was obtained from the reaction of CoBr(PPh3)3with Na2(S2C6H4) in chloroform. The Co3core in the cation of 1 exhibits a metal‐metal bonded isosceles triangle, in which the two longer Co—Co bonds are both bridged by S2C6H4ligands on two sides of the triangle plane respectively, while the bottom short Co—Co bond is bridged by the third bidentate S2C6H4ligand. A series of polynuclear cobalt cluster compounds with phosphine, thiolate and/or sulphur ligands were prepared by low oxidation state Co+with thiolates in organic solvents. These tri‐, tetra‐, hexa‐, heptanuclear cluster compounds 1–8 with various types of crystal structures can be viewed as the condensed polynuclear cobalt complexes that the cobalt atom frameworks with sulphur bridged were built through the small triangular units of [Co3S3nL3] (n=1,2) with or without [CoL](L=PR3, Br, Cl,

AbstractMINDO/3 MO method has been used to study the mechanism of the consecutive addition of HCN to propionitrile. The results obtained for the first five steps show that the reaction is exothermic, and step 1 is the rate determining step.

AbstractReaction of [Mo3(CO)7(S,O‐C6H4‐1,2)3]2‐ with FeCl2in MeCN at 60°C affords a new Mo‐Fe‐S cluster complex containing MoO3S3unit and mixed‐valent Mo atoms, [Et4N]2[Mo2Fe(CO)4(O,S‐C6H4‐1,2)3Cl2] (1). 1 is characterized by elemental analysis, IR, Mössbauer spectra, X‐ray photoelectron spectra and mass spectra. AbstractThe two complexes [Ni(oxen)Cu(L)2](ClO4)2·H2O (L=2,2'‐bipyridyl(bpy), 1,10‐phenanthroline(phen)) have been synthesized, where oxen isN,N'‐bis(2‐aminoethyl)oxamido dianion. The crystal structure of [Ni(oxen)Cu(bpy)2](ClO4)2°CH3OH has been determined by X‐ray diffraction method. The crystal is triclinic system, space groupPwitha=12.179(l),b=12.298(2),c=11.476(2) Å,a=97.57(l), β=97.52(1), γ=80.29(2)°, V=1669.04(67) Å3,Z=2, D  calcd=1.667 g/cm3. AbstractNitrogen hyperfine splitting constants (aNvalues) of seven symmetricallypara‐disubstituted diphenyl nitroxides (1‐Y's) were measured by EPR and used in conjunction with five literature values in our correlation analysis. The correlation of these aNvalues by single‐parameter Eq. 1 and dual‐parameter Eq. 2 shows that the application of Eq. 2 does not significantly improve the correlation. AbstractThe preparation and characterization of [CrnFe4‐nO2(O2CMe)7(bipy)2]Cl (1, n=0; 2, n=2; 3, n=4, bipy=2,2'‐bipyridine) are described. The three complexes (1, 2 and 3) are obtained by bipyridine‐mediated conversion of trinuclear [CrnFe3‐nO(O2CMe)6(H2O)3]+(1, n=0; 2, n=1; 3,n=3), and crystallized as three of approximate isomorphs. Crystal 2 is monoclinic with space groupC2/c,a=27.454(5)Å,b=11.789(1)Å, c=16.570(3)Å, β=118.78(1)°, V=4700.8Å3, z=4, μ(MoK  a)=11.64cm−1,F(000)=2056, final R=0.058 andRw=0.066 for 3479 reflections withI⩽ 3σ(I). The Fe and Cr atoms in the cation are all +3 oxide state and disordered in the lattice, which is also supported by its Mossbauer studies. The [Cr2Fe2O2]8+core can be thought of as being derived from two edge‐sharing M3O units (M=Fe or Cr), and as a butterfly‐like structure. The cations' structure of all three crystals are similar to each other and haveC2symmetry.
