摘要:
Pollen material of the two anemophilous plants of known allergic significanceDactylis glomerata(Poaceae) andBetula verrucosa(Betulaceae) was collected at several places (in Sweden and France) and exposed to natural or experimental conditions. This material was analyzed with Electron Probe X Microanalysis (EPMA) (System ORTEC 5000) attached to a Scanning Electron Microscope (Jeol JMS 35), or with EDAX, a 10000 X-Ray Analyser, Link System, connected to a SEM-microscope (Jeol JSM 820).

摘要:
Birch pollen (Betulasp.) was treated with polluted air and the inorganic components of the pollen surface were analysed by different methods. By EDAX some particles were found to be composed of e.g., Si and S, or Al, Ca and Fe. The SIMS method indicated P, K, Si, Ca, Mg, Al, Na, Rb, Ba, Zn, Sr and B. ESCA seems to be more suitable for analysis of organic compounds, and only C, O, Si, and N could be detected.
