摘要:
It is described a kinetic theory providing bases for an analytical treatment of nonlinear quantum transport. It is founded on a nonequilibrium statistical ensemble formalism, which constitutes a soundly approach for the study of dissipative many-body systems driven arbitrarily away from equilibrium. This theory is applied to the study of transport of charge inn- andp- type doped polar semiconductors. Evolution of the carriers’ quasitemperature and mobility as well as of the relaxation times for energy and momentum are derived. Some comparison with experimental data is done.

摘要:
We perform the coupling of the Boltzmann and Euler equations in two dimensional spatial space. The moment realizability criteria have been used for the domains of validity of the Boltzmann and Euler equations. The domain decompositions for such equations have been presented in different time steps. The numerical results obtained from the coupling code have been compared with those from the pure Boltzmann one.

摘要:
We build a system composed of a large number of randomly interacting particles in such a way that the empirical laws converge (when the number of particles tends to infinity) to a weak solution of a nonlinear evolution equation, which is a relaxed kinetic equation related to scalar conservation laws.

摘要:
A kinetic model derived from the Boltzmann equation, by using the spherical harmonic expansion method, is considered. This describes the evolution of an electron gas inside a bulk semiconductor in thermal equilibrium. The problem of velocity overshoot is analyzed in detail. A numerical scheme is proposed and the numerical results are shown.
