摘要:
It is shown that the canonical solutions of Riemann problems occuring in studies of the multi-group theory of neutron diffusion, can be chosen so as to possess the Schwarz reflection property, and consequently that the partial indices are non-negative.

摘要:
In the elementary solution method of the BGK model (Cercignani, 1962), the functionplays a central role. In this paper some highly accurate values for the related integrals Qn (n=0 to 10) and Fn (n-0 to 20) are reported. As a consequence, numerically exact results (up to 15 significant digits) for the viscous slip, the thermal creep slip and some higher order slip coefficients are also given.

摘要:
The purpose of this note is to prove the following theorem for : stimating the norm of an integral operator of a general type. This estimate is needed in the accompanying paper. [3] The scalar case is done in Kato.[l, p. 144]

摘要:
The functional analytic method of Larsen and Habetler [1] is applied to the problem of multigroup neutron transport with degenerate kernel to obtain the eigensolutions of the reduced transport operator. This particular method yields a compact and mathematically rigorous solution of the problem. Applications to the full and half-range problems are indicated.

摘要:
When the kernel of a Fredholm integral equation of the second kind is a Green's function (which is the case in a wide variety of physical problems), the process of solution can be significantly simplified by exploiting the general properties of the Green's function. In particular, the solution of the Fredholm equation can be obtained from the solution of the corresponding Volterra equation.
