摘要:
Eulerian and Lagrangian hydrodynamic equations for multicomponent gases are derived from generating kinetic equations and the advantages of Lagrangian transport equations are discussed in connection with the problem of particles slowing down in moving host media. Then a general theory which incorporates both, hydrodynamic and transport formalisms is formulated in a consistent and flexible way. Applications to Inertial Confinement Fusion (ICF) are shown. Although new ideas are proposed, the main aim of this paper is to help the users of existing hydrodynamic and transport codes when they face problems of coupling. However, it is shown that in the general case a few modifications must be introduced in such codes.

摘要:
A plasma is an ionized gas. A plasma can form, for instance, when a gas is heated to a very high temperature. In this process the binding energy of the electrons is eventually exceeded by the thermal energy, in which case the electrons are stripped away from the atoms and “float around” in “clouds”. Some well-known examples of plasmas are: the ionosphere, comet tails, and solar discharges.

摘要:
We present here a discussion of the concepts of “reversibility” and “irreversibility” of an evolution. In section 1, several reversibility concepts and the notion of an H-functional are introduced, and the relations between H-functionals and reversibility are discussed from a theoretical and, by means of examples, applied point of view. In section 2, we focus on the Boltzmann equation. After reviewing a validity result by Lanford, we suggest an explanation why the irreversibility of the equation doesn't contradict its validity. This explanation involves the weak lower semi-continuity of Boltzmann's H-functional.

摘要:
Specular reflection at a rough surface with periodic structure is studied. It is shown that as the period length tends to zero, a stochastic reflection law is obtained. A consequence of the limiting procedure is a decrease of the H-functional caused by the reflection.
