The automatic feature of a new Polaroid camera has been utilized to obtain photomicrographs with uniformly perfect exposure. 1. A preparation containing 485 mg. of salicylsalicylic acid and 160 mg. of acetylsalicylic acid in each tablet was administered orally for 8 days to 17 patients with symptoms and signs of osteoarthritis. Patients took either 4 or 5 tablets daily depending upon their body weight.2. A satisfactory and progressive increase in the mean serum salicylate level was noted at all time intervals of serum collection. However, as is quite commonly observed in blood level data on drugs, there was a marked individual variation in the salicylate levels noted among different patients.3. Fifteen of the 17 patients with osteoarthritis developed desirable therapeutic salicylate levels of 10 mg. or more per 100 ml. serum in the 24-hour or eighth-day specimens, or both.Nivellos Seral de Salicylato in Osteoarthritis post le Administration Oral de un Preparato Continente Acido Salicylsalicylic e Acido Acetylsalicylic1. Wide-spectrum antibiotics decrease the rate at whichE. coliare killed by human serum. This phenomenon was demonstrated bothin vitroand in patients who had taken chloramphenicol by mouth.
