Established in 1990, the CIMTEX project has been used to research the application of CIM and CAM in the apparel industry. With the aim of aiding this sector in becoming more competitive, CIMTEX has covered techniques from the simple to the sophisticated. The project is also used as an industrial demonstration and training centre and runs a small garment production unit.

摘要:
Some problems identified during the application of several CACSD program packages are discussed in the article. These problems result from the influence of finite word length and finite range arithmetic. In the first part of the article two basic concepts from the numerical analysis—numerical problem conditioning and algorithm stability—are briefly presented. The second part examines in detail some examples where the CACSD approach leads to the obviously wrong results.

摘要:
This article presents an architecture for engineering data management that incorporates current work on engineering product standards as well as current work in database research. In particular, a framework that views an engineering design environment as an integrated, heterogeneous database system is presented. This integrated view of data makes use of data exchange standards in PDES/STER presenting a framework for the representation of meta data that describes an objectoriented view of data and supports an object-oriented query language for the retrieval of data from multiple data sources. How the use of active database technology supports a rulebased approach to constraint propagation and change notification is also described.

摘要:
Computer-aided control engineering (CACE) tools have a great influence on the effectiveness and success of control design procedures. However, more and more functionally similar CACE tools mean that control engineers face a dilemma as to which ones are the most appropriate. Our experience in the development of CACE tools, as well as in the use of different CACE tools in applications and education, can help to resolve such a dilemma. As a background to this article, four application problems solved by the aid of CAD tools are described. A user-oriented classification of conventional CACE tools is then given and, to conclude, a view on the selection of appropriate CACE tools is presented.

摘要:
In this article we consider the use of massively parallel multiprocessor computer systems for simulation of computational gasdynamic problems. We discuss some common algorithm features which are convenient for parallel computing, describe a new numerical algorithm for Navier-Stokes equations and give an example of a computer simulation of supersonic gasdynamic flow around an obstacle. The Kiparis program package, based on this algorithm, is described. The computational results obtained on the Hathi-2 parallel computer are also described.
