摘要:
Ein nach dem Trägergasprinzip arbeitender Analysator wird versuchsweise zur Aufnahme von Evologrammen, die Rückschlüsse auf die Art der Nitride ermöglichen sollen, eingesetzt. An synthetischen Proben werden die Extraktionstemperaturen für verschiedene Nitride ermittelt. Versuche mit chrom‐, vanadium‐ und aluminiumhaltigen Stahlproben führten zu Ergebnissen, die mit denen nach dem Wasserstoffreduktionsverfahren (NH‐Methode) erhaltenen gut übereinstimmen. Die Notwendigkeit weiterführender systematischer Untersuchungen wird erörtert.

In order to determine optimal slag compositions for the extraction of vanadium from hot metal to SiO2rich slags, vanadium distributions were determined between slags of the following systems:FeO*–SiO2[(%V) ã 1.7]FeO*–SiO2(sat)‐CaO,Na2O,MgO,Al2O3,TiO2[(%V) ã 1.7]FeO*–SiO2–VOn[(%FeO*)/(%SiO2) = 1.5–1.7]and carbon saturated liquid iron at 1 300°C using the solid iron foil technique. The distribution increased with FeO* content in the binary FeO*–SiO2system, while additions of CaO, Na2O, MgO and Al2O3to FeO*–SiO2based slags under SiO2saturation caused the distribution to decrease. A slight decrease in distribution was also observed with increasing vanadium oxide content in FeO*–SiO2based slags having a constant (%FeO*)/(%SiO2) ratio. The highest vanadium distributions were found in SiO2saturated slags with high TiO2contents. Vanadium valencies in the slags were determined by a wet analytic titration technique and the results showed that VIII+is predominant. It was suggested that the predominating ionic species of vanadium in SiO2saturated slags are V3+and VO+while a change towards VO−2may occur for FeO rich slags.

The sulphur behaviour in steelmaking by melting of charges containing from 38.7 to 95.4 wt.% sponge iron in the metallic input in a 70 t UHP electric arc furnace is investigated. The effect of both slag composition and temperature on the sulphide capacity of the slag and on the sulphur distribution ratio between slag and metal is studied. The kinetics of desulphurization are also treated.Regression analysis shows that the logarithm of sulphide capacity varies linearly with total lime equivalent, theoretical optical basicity and logarithm of slag basicity. Equations relating the sulphide capacity to these parameters as well as to the temperature are given. Based on these equations, functional relationships for the calculation of sulphur distribution between slag and metal are derived. Metallurgical reactions for metal desulphurization by slag and equilibrium relationships are given from which the slag‐metal sulphur partition ratio can be calculated. In all cases, the results of the calculations are in line with the experimental data.The rate of desulphurization is expressed by an equation based on the boundary layer diffusion theory. Under the conditions of the present investigation, the activation energy of desulphurization is found to be 39 kJ/mol and the mass transfer coefficient of sulphur at 1600°C is equal to 0.014 cm/s.

During the determination of flow stress measuring errors in the range of ± 10% may easily occur. These measuring errors are transmitted to a greater or lesser extent to the FEM analysis.An evaluation of the influence of stress‐strain curve errors in the FEM calculation of forming processes and its results was made using the ABAQUS programme package for the simulation of the rolling process and using the FINEL programme package for the simulation of the upsetting process.Both programmes describe force and equivalent stress with the same accuracy as the stress‐strain curve does. Lateral and longitudinal flow behaviour appears relatively insensitive to measuring errors in the determination in the stress‐strain curve, as does local strain. Attention should be payed, however, to the calculation of individual stress components. In these cases the errors may be compounded during the calculation.

摘要:
The interdiffusion of chromium in M7C3and M3C carbide cases obtained during diffusion chromizing is discussed. The diffusional characteristics of the two phases are emphasized and are related to the chromium concentration by means of the Matano method using the experimental chromium profiles.The importance of grain boundary diffusion and the influence of the layer morphology on the variation of the interdiffusion coefficient are considered in turn.

The aim of these investigations was to determine the effect of the ratio % Mo to % W in the austenite of high‐speed steels on the kinetics of its transformation under continuous cooling. The investigations were carried out on model alloys. Three CCT curves were drawn. Also the influence of cooling velocity on the volume fraction of retained austenite in high‐speed steels was evaluated.It was determined that with the increase of the Mo content in the high‐speed steel matrix the MStemperature decreases and the fraction of retained austenite increases, the development of the bainite transformation decreases and the stability of austenite increases in the range of diffusion transformations.With an increased cooling rate, the volume fraction of retained austenite decreases at first and then it increases. These changes are caused by the precipitation of carbides from undercooled austenite and can give rise to the differences in the content of retained austenite on the cross‐section of quenched tools.
