摘要:
AbstractRods of silver iodide with silver electrodes at both ends were decelerated by letting them drop from different heights at a temperature of 170°C to a plastic material on the ground. In the moment of striking the ground the forces of inertia of the mobile silver ions caused voltage pulses, which were proportional to the velocity before striking and to the length of the silver iodide rods and which could be calculated using the mass and electrical charge of the silver ions. Calculated and measured voltage pulses were in agreement within the accuracy of measurement of 1%

摘要:
AbstractElectrochemically grown p‐Si/SiO2structures were anodically biased in a glycol‐water‐KNO3electrolyte at voltages below the growth voltage and studied as a function of time by means of ellipsometric and capacitance measurements. In all cases, including zero bias, further growth of the oxide film was observed by ellipsometry. The growth mechanism appeared to be different for low and for high biasing voltages. From the comparison between ellipsometric and capacitance results, additional evidence was collected for the hypothesis that water or a species originating from water diffuses into the oxide film, modifying its dielectric properties and possibly leading to erroneous determinations of the layer thickness by capacitance measure

AbstractPhotouptake of oxygen in aqueous CdS suspensions loaded with RuO2or Rh2O3leads to the formation of sulphate and cadmium ions following the stoichiometry\documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$${\rm{CdS}}\;{\rm{ + }}\;{\rm{2O}}_{\rm{2}} \to {\rm{CdSO}}_{\rm{4}}.$$\end{document}This reaction constitutes also the dominant pathway in bare CdS suspensions. In the latter case, hydrogen peroxide is formed as a byproduct.

摘要:
AbstractIf the binary transition metal oxide Co1‐δO is exposed to an oxygen potential gradient, a steady state flux of cation vacancies from the high to the low potential and a corresponding flux of cobalt cations in the opposite direction are induced. Thereby, the crystal as a whole moves to the side of the higher oxygen activity. By solving the diffusion equation for the vacancy transport, the following results are obtained: At the reducing side, the Co1‐δO‐surface is morphologically unstable. At the oxidizing side, the surface is morphologically stable. In addition, the influence of surface tension, surface diffusion, phase boundary reaction and concentration dependence of the chemical diffusion coefficient on the movement of the crystal and the morphological stability of the gas/solid interfaces is analysed. 摘要:
AbstractThe electrochemical spectral Sensitization of SnO2and ZnO electrodes with rhodamine B and rose bengal has been studied in acetonitrile. The photocurrent quantum yield was shown to depend remarkably on the doping level of the semiconductor electrodes. The quantum yield approached unity under the most preferable conditions. The effect of hydroquinone on the Sensitization process (supersensitization) also depended on the semiconductor doping level. These results, together with the fluorescence quenching behaviors of the dyes adsorbed on the semiconductors, are taken into account to elucidate the mechanism of electrochemical spectral sensitization and supersensitization.
