摘要:
We attempt to clarify the relationship between the Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen analysis and Bell’s theorem in the context of the statistical interpretation of quantum mechanics. We conclude that despite certain claims, the statistical interpretation cannot reconcile the EPR notion of a local, objective reality with the prediction of quantum mechanics.

The cost per million BTU is calculated for insulation (useful heat saved) and for flat plate solar collector systems applied to space heating of houses and to water heating. Results are compared with cost per million BTU from conventional sources.

We present an elementary situation where the anharmonicity of a periodic motion is related to the vanishing value of the kinetic part at equilibrium. A solid rolling on a horizontal plane and having zero curvature at equilibrium, realizes that condition. This study emphasizes the importance of nonanalytic potentialV( x)=xα 1<α<2.

This paper describes an interactive graphics package for teaching and learning collision phenomena which includes analysis of one‐dimensional elastic collisions, two‐dimensional elastic collisions, and inelastic collisions. The package is intended as a support for a traditional course for first‐year physics students.
