摘要:
AbstractThe Simplified Real‐Frequency Method, initiated by Carlin and Yarman in 1982, has rapidly become the most powerful one among the available numerical methods for solving singleor double‐matching problems. So far it has been applied successfully to the synthesis of multistage microwave amplifiers, but the equalizers contained inductors and capacitors only. This article describes the extension of that technique to the direct synthesis of low‐pass and high‐pass distributed matching networks. The main interest of such an extension is to avoid using equivalences between lumped and distributed elements which are not valid in a wide frequency range. In addition, technological constraints are taken into account earlier in the synthesis. AbstractA singular value decomposition (SVD) is used to solve the characteristic matrix equation of 2 different field‐matching analyses as applied to T‐septum waveguide structures. It is demonstrated that SVD avoids the need for complicated numerical zero‐detection algorithms, eliminates the major disadvantages of the classical field‐matching technique, and hence, improves the accuracy and reliability of the computed results. AbstractThe method of images and currently available single‐series formulation of a rectangular planar segment have been applied to speed up the computations of impedance matrix elements of 30°–60°–90° and equilateral triangular microstrip segments used in planar microwave circuits. 摘要:
AbstractA computationally efficient numerical technique for the evaluation of the time domain response of coupled lossy uniform and nonuniform transmission lines terminated in general nonlinear elements is presented. The technique is based on the method of characteristics where the original system of coupled transmission line equations is transformed into a system of ordinary differential equations which hold along a family of characteristic curves. An algorithm to solve these equations is presented. The procedure is applicable to both uniform and nonuniform coupled systems and examples of two and three line structures terminated in linear and nonlinear elements are included to demonstrate the versatility and the usefulness of the algorithm.
