摘要:
Lung-transfer factor (DLco-steady-state method according to Bates and his coworkers) was measured in 14 normal subjects (aged 16–44) at rest and during graded and ‘maximal’ exercise in sitting position. Significant relations were found between the age and Dlco both at rest and during ‘maximal’ exercise. During exercise, Dlco was positively related to the oxygen uptake, heart rate, and tidal volume. A nonlinear, but significant, relation of Dlco to total ventilation was found. It may be concluded that Dlco does not reach ‘plateau’ during graded exercise, but increases linearly with work load. The CO transfer factor for the lung was measured, Key Words using the breath-holding technique, in 37 patients with moderate or severe chronic obstructive lung disease, classified as ‘bronchitis Chronic bronchitis chilis’, ‘emphysema’, or ‘intermediate’ disease. A highly significant decrease of transfer factor and transfer coefficient was found in patients with emphysema as compared with bronchitis. 摘要:
In atopic patients with chronic non specific lung diseases, the sensitivity of the bronchial tree to histamine and to allergens was studied by means of inhalation provocation tests. An unmistests takable correlation was demonstrated between the results of histamine inhalation provocation tests tests (HIPT) and allergen inhalation provocation tests (AIPT).When the HIPT revealed a higher sensitivity to histamine, the AIPT disclosed a higher sensitivity to allergens. This was manifested by the larger number of allergens to which the patients reacted at AIPT, as well as by the severity of the reaction after AIPT, as measured spirographically. Moreover, higher sensitivity to histamine was associated with more late positive reactions after AIPT

In experiments on dogs, serotonin and histamine do not show any interaction.histamine and serotonin increase the sensitivity of the bronchial system for bronchoconstrictive reactions. The stronger bronchoconstriction, which could be measured following acetylcholine inhalation after the increased sensitivity of the bronchial system, can be avoided by blockade of the vagus nervus. Also, clinical experience, as well as experiments from other authors, let us believe that the ‘increased sensitivity of the bronchial system’ means increased sensitivity of the sensitive receptors in the bronchial wall. 摘要:
The bronchoconstrictory effect of bradykinin was studied in vivo on subjects with normal airways and on patients with airways ob struction and in vitro on isolated muscle preparations. Body plethysmographic measurements ofe airways conductance showed that bradykinin in both groups caused bronchoconstriction which probably was due to non-specific irritation of vagal irritant receptors, as it could be blocked by atropine in all but 3 obstructive patients. In these, we assume a more specific direct muscle-constricting effect from bradykinin. The in vitro tests revealed a widerange of sensitivity to bradykinin; muscles from patients with airways obstructionshowed an increased sensitivity to bradykinin.
