摘要:
The chemistry of metal-metal bonded metalloporphyrins has undergone significant development during the last decade. The synthesis, chemical reactivity, physical properties and electrochemistry of metal-metal bonded metalloporphyrins containing both σ and donor-acceptor bonds are presented. These new classes of metalloporphyrins are important in biological processes, in synthetic organometallic chemistry, and in the preparation of new materials.

摘要:
The term inorganometallic chemistry has been defined to draw attention to an emerging body of knowledge consisting of the chemistry of compounds containing main group elements other than carbon interacting directly with metals. In a real sense, this chemistry mirrors that of organometallic chemistry. That is, the reactivity of main group element fragments is changed on interaction with metals, intrinsically unstable main group element fragments are stabilized by coordination and transition metals promote main group compound reactions via the formation of main group-metal intermediates. The scope of inorganometallic chemistry is outlined and illustrated with selected examples. The close connection with organometallic chemistry is emphasized with detailed, isoelectronic comparisons.

摘要:
The coordination chemistry of pentadentate porphyrin-like ligands is reviewed. The review is largely limited to planar or near-planar unsaturated pentaaza macrocycles and is concerned with pentadentate or potentially pentadentate systems derived from pyrrole, pyridine, bipyridine, phenanthroline, and terpyridine. Some discussion, however, is devoted to novel nonporphyrin macrocycles containing fewer than five nitrogen atoms. Specifically excluded from review are complex binucleating systems as well as saturated ligands of the aza crown ether or cryptand type.
