摘要:
An H functional of the single particle distribution function governed by the Enskog kinetic equation is suggested. We show its monotnic temporal behaviour from situations near the local equilibrium state.

摘要:
The velocity of ultrasound was measured in molten Au-Co alloys containing 0, 10, 20, 27, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, and 100 at.% Co within the temperature range from 995°C to 1700°C. The temperature coefficient of the velocity versus concentration plot shows a positive deviation from ideal behaviour. The adiabatic compressibility was calculated from the velocity and is discussed. From it the partial structure factors aij(o) and Ski(O) for zero momentum transfer were obtained. According to these results, the melts of the Au-Co system show a weak tendency to segregation, i.e. they show concentration fluctuations. Between zero and 60 at.% Co these concentration fluctuations correspond to Au-enriched regions and Co-enriched regions, these being present to the same extent. Between 60 and 100 at.% cobalt the influence of Co-enriched regions is greater than that of the Au-enriched regions.

摘要:
By the shear cell technique, the self-diffusion coefficient of tin in a liquid Sn-38.1wt% Pb alloy has been measured in the temperature range from 466°K to 786°K. The variation of DSn*Sn-38.1wt%Pbwith temperature doesn't follow the Arrhenius type equation and shows a change in its slope about 573°K. A qualitative explanation of this behaviour is attempted based on either a cluster hypothesis or rigid sphere liquid model.

摘要:
By a mathematical analysis of the formulae of a quasi-crystalline model of liquids, i.e. a crystal lattice with smeared out lattice sites, it is shown that this model leads to a nonphysical asymptotic behaviour of the radial distribution function. To remove this defect it is necessary to modify the initial lattice by changing either the coordination numbers or the radii of the coordination spheres. Some ways of such modification are given and illustrated by concrete calculations.
