摘要:
About twenty years ago slow neutron scattering studies were made on liquid and solid polycrystalline aluminium and it was observed that the scattered spectra from the two phases were very similar. This observation formed the start of a new development in the field of liquid atomic dynamics continuing even since then. The original observation was, however, never analyzed in detail.

摘要:
The reference interaction site model of Chandleret al. has been used to study the structure of liquid Germanium tetrabromide. The molecular structure factor is in fair agreement with the Neutron scattering experiments. The inter-molecular atomic distribution functions were also determined and the calculations tend to support the view that the local structure of liquid Germanium tetrabromide is one in which GeBr4molecules form an interlocking structure.

摘要:
The six termination temperatures associated with the ten characteristic curves of a simple fluid are calculated for the Kihara potential second virial coefficient, constructed from a Lennard-Jonesm, npotential augmented by a spherical hard-core. Extreme values of the termination temperatures in both the hard-core Sutherland-type potential limitn→ ∞, and in the opposite limitn→mare obtained. Over the useful range of values, 0 to 1, of the ratioa* of the hard-core diameter to the molecular diameter in the absence of a hard-core, the termination temperature ratiosTC/TF/TCandTD/TAvary only slightly, for a given value ofn, withTD/TA→ 2 in the hard-core limitn→ ∞, independent ofmanda*.
