摘要:
The1H-NMR spectra of liquid binary mixtures, N, N-dimethylformamide (DMF)-benzyl alcohol (PhCH2OH), were recorded at 298 K within whole range of the mixed solvent compositions. From these data were found the values of the spectral parameter, Δδ(DMF-PhCH2OH). The densities (d12) and viscosities (n12) of the mixed solvents were measured at 298.15 K, as well as the dielectric permittivities (ε12) at 293.15 K, 298.15 K, 303.15 K, 308.15 K, 313.15 K and 318.15 K. From all these new parent data, the values of molar volumes (V12), kinematic viscosities (n12/d12) and their deviations from “ideality” were calculated. Additionally, the values of the temperature coefficients of dielectric permittivity (α12), were found. The molar limiting conductances (A0) of NaCl were measured at 298.15 K within whole range of mixed solvent compositions. From these data were found the values of the association constants (KA) and the Walden products (A0·n). The scrutiny of all these structural parameters as functions of the mixture composition points at a formation of the “complexes” (sub-units) of the DMF · PhCH2OH and DMF · 2 PhCH2OH types in the bulk of the mixed solvents.

摘要:
Excess volumes for mixtures containing methanol,n-propanol,n-butanol, isobutanol,t-butanol andn-pentanol as non common component and 2-Ethoxy ethanol as common component are measured at 308.15 K by batch dilatometric method. Experimental Excess Volumes are negative over the whole composition range for mixtures of methanol,n-propanol with 2-Ethoxy ethanol and positive in mixtures containingn-butanol, isobutanol,t-butanol andn-pentanol. Excess Volumes increase in magnitude with the increase in the chain length of alcohol. The results are interpreted on the basis of intermolecular interactions between unlike molecules.

摘要:
The effective potential entering the Schrödinger equation for the ground-state density amplitude of an inhomogeneous electron liquid is shown to be a unique functional of the Hartree-Fock density matrix, the functional being known. However, this would only become a density functional theory if the Hartree-Fock density matrix could be written as a functional of the exact ground-state density. This is also shown to be true, at least in principle.

摘要:
The isobaric vapour-liquid equilibrium has been experimentally studied for the ternary mixture (Benzene + Cyclohexane + Hexane) at pressures of 40.0 kPa and 101.3 kPa. The equilibrium data have been correlated using the equations of Wilson, NRTL and UNIQUAC. They have been also compared with the results obtained from the application of the modified UNIFAC group contribution method. The mixture does not show azeotrope.

摘要:
Excess molar enthalpies of binary mixtures of 2-propen-1-ol with 1,2-dichloroethane, 1,1,1,-trichloroethane, 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane, trichloroethylene and tetrachloroethylene have been measured at 298.15 K using a 1451 Parr model solution calorimeter. The excess enthalpy values are positive in all the systems over the entire range of mole fraction except for the system involving 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane. All the excess enthalpy curves are found to be S shaped. Comments on the effect of intramolecular interactions on the intermolecular interactions have been made on the basis of the experimental results.

摘要:
Data and simple theory is brought into contact for the ratio λ/σTfor some charged condensed phases, λ being the thermal conductivity and σ the electrical conductivity. The most extensive data presented is for liquid metals and deviations from the Weidmann-Franz law are discussed. But the paper is also concerned with metal nitrates (e.g., NaNO3) and with ionized gases and dilute plasmas. Returning to metals, cases be cited where λ and σ separately vary markedly across the solid-liquid transition, while the ratio λ/σTremains substantially constant.

摘要:
Viscosities and densities have been measured for mixtures of chlorinated methanes mixing with normal alcohols at 303.15 K. The chlorinated methanes include carbon tetrachloride, chloroform and dichloromethane. The normal alcohols are methanol, ethanol, 1-proponal and 1-butanol. Excess viscositiesnEand molar excess volumesVEwere obtained together with the Grunberg-Nissan interaction parameterdand interaction energy for flow of activationWvis.

摘要:
Dielectric constant of binary mixtures of some long-chain aliphatic alcohols i.e.n-propanol,n-pentanol,n-hexanol,n-heptanol andn-octanol with propionic acid and butyric acid measured at 455 kHz and at 303.16 K are utilised to calculate mutual correlation factorgab, excess molar polarization Δpand excess free energy of mixing ΔFabin those binary mixtures. The results indicate that acid-alcohol interaction is stronger in butyric acid system than in the propionic acid system.
