摘要:
&NA;Sufoxazine (teniloxazine, Y 8894, Lucelan®, Metatone®), a structural analogue of viloxazine (Vivalan®), is being developed by Yoshitomi in Japan. It was under joint development with Yoshitomi and Green Cross before the latter company's merger with Yoshitomi. Sufoxazine is currently awaiting registration in Japan for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease, and is in phase III clinical trials in this country as a potential antidepressant. Sufoxazine is expected to have similar properties to viloxazine (central stimulatory effects and few anticholinergic or adrenergic effects).

摘要:
Y 23684 is a benzodiazepino[5,4-c]pyridazine derivative with a high affinity at central benzodiazepine receptors, specifically partial agonist activity. Despite its nonbenzodiazepine structure, Y 23684 has demonstrated more potent anticonflict activity than diazepam in animal models. Y 23684 is reported to have prolonged and selective anxiolytic activity and is currently undergoing phase II clinical trials with Yoshitomi in Japan as a potential treatment for anxiety disorders.

&NA;YM 992 (YM 35992) is a potential antidepressant agent undergoing phase II clinical trials with Yamanouchi in Europe and the US, and undergoing preclinical investigation in Japan. It appears to act as a selective serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine; 5-HT) uptake inhibitor and serotonin 5-HT2Areceptor antagonist.YM 992 is a novel compound with both serotonin reuptake inhibitory and 5-HT2Areceptor antagonist activity, offering an alternative to tricyclic antidepressants and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. Selectivity for these systems is relatively high.
