摘要:
AbstractThis study investigated reactions to the temperature‐rhythm method of birth control, attitudes toward sex in general, sexual behavior patterns, and personality dynamics in 92 American couples who had been employing this method for an average of 4 years, 9 months. Husbands and wives independently completed several scales, including Byrne's Revised Repression‐Sensitization scale, Rotter's I‐E scale, a sexual behavior inventory, an Attitude Toward Sex scale, and a Reaction to the Temperature‐Rhythm Method scale. The temperature‐rhythm method was found to be generally acceptable despite difficulty with periodic sexual abstinence. There was relatively low response concordance between husbands and wives. Couples who had unplanned pregnancies or defected from the program also reported less satisfaction with the method and were more liberal in their sexual attitudes than those who did not have such pregnancies and did not defect.

摘要:
AbstractsTestosterone in blood plasma was analysed by competitive protein binding method in 79 normal men, 17 male transsexuals, 3 male transvestites and 18 male homosexuals with feminine disposition and 3 male homosexuals with virile reactions. In all groups of men with psychosexual deviation testosterone level was significantly lower than in normal men.

摘要:
AbstractStudies have indicated that many Lesbian sexual relationships are quite stable, enduring over years, in distinction to those of male homosexuals. This study supports these findings. Lesbians apparently have long‐lasting affairs, and show a considerable degree of fidelity to their partners. With some exceptions, sexual partners tend to come from the same socio‐economic backgrounds, and participate in most activities together. There is a high degree of integration of Lesbians into their lovers' social circles, and these friendship groups also comprise individuals from similar social backgrounds. Most of these characteristics are in contrast to relationships among male homosexuals, who tend to have partners of different socio‐economic status, although their friendships are made with others of similar status.

摘要:
AbstractInterviews with the wives of forcible rapists and incest offenders at Atascadero State Hospital indicated that, among other things, the wives were more highly educated than their husbands. The women appeared to gain considerable satisfaction from the offenses of their husbands, perhaps because it put them in the role of martyrs, a role that may have been originally involved in their marriages to persons“inferior”to themselves. The wives, despite obvious cues, reported being surprised at their husbands' offenses, and not one indicated that her marriage had suffered as a consequence of her husband's behavior. The study concludes that, for this sample, rape and incest by the husbands served as a particular useful lever by which wives can further build positions of moral and social dominance.

摘要:
AbstractIn the early 1950's, Kinsey collected wall inscriptions from a number of public bathrooms, hypothesizing that sexual graffiti provided a great source of information on the extent and nature of the suppressed sexual desires of men and women. Data were analyzed in terms of gender, heterosexuality, homosexuality, types of erotic contact, and types of non‐erotic references to love. The present study is a partial replication of Kinsey's study, investigating and comparing changes in American human sexuality as manifested by wall inscriptions in public bathrooms. The results show an increase in the percentage of erotic graffiti made by women and a decrease in the percentage of homosexaul graffiti made by both sexes. A discussion of these results is presented at the end of this paper.
