摘要:
AbstractThe age at which female mice attain puberty depends to a large extent on their prior experience with male stimuli. Females exposed to male odors mature more rapidly than those denied access to the smell of a male. Such an odor can be termed a priming pheromone because it sets in motion a chain of physiological events which, in this case, culminate in puberty. The demonstration that a social factor such as a pheromone can influence the rate of sexual development in the mouse may have implications for man. It seems likely that a complex of stimuli, certainly not odors alone, may have contributed to the accelerated rate of human sexual maturation which has occurred during the past century.

摘要:
AbstractThis research was intended to discern any correlations between marijuana and human sexual activity. I was specifically interested in exploring the concept that the drug might produce different effects on males and females in regard to their sexual activity. Finally, I was concerned with the dosage of the drug which would produce the most pronounced effect on the majority of the users in regard to their sexual activity.

摘要:
AbstractData were provided by 2 surveys on human sexual behavior. Variation of marital coital rate with each of four demographic variables (wife's age, husband's age, parity and social class) was analysed when the other three were held constant. The following results were obtained: 1. When social class and parity (number' of children) are held constant, coital rates decline more rapidly with husband's age than with wife's age. 2. When duration of marriage is held constant, coital rate correlates positively with parity.

摘要:
AbstractSixteen individuals having a 47, XYY chromosome were perfectly identified in a sample drawn from the general population. The findings confirmed previous reports that XYY individuals are taller than average. However, no major evidence was found for contact with law‐enforcement agencies. Detailed psychological tests (including TAT and Rorschach) were conducted in a double blind study on seven XYY subjects together with a control group, matched for age height, educational level and socioeconomic status. The chromosomal abnormality tended to be associated with a psychological profile somewhat different from that found in the control group. The XYY individual appeared to have a certain degree of psychomotor difficulty, a lower level for emotional control and a tolerance threshold for inappropriate responses (eg. aggression) which was lower than that of controls. Use of immediate gratification and low control over frustration were also inferred from the test data. The self concept of the XYY group in general, was found to be less mature and often associated with high levels of anxiety. There appeared to be a lack of integration of aggression into the XYY subjects' perception of reality.

摘要:
AbstractWho are the self‐disclosing male homosexuals? This article typologically classifies homosexually oriented male bar patrons into four distinct groups and evaluates the relative sensitivity of demographic and attitudinal variables in discriminating degree of self‐disclosure. The findings indicate that homosexuality exists on a continuum running from complete concealment to complete disclosure.

摘要:
AbstractData are presented on a national sample of gay bars in the United States. Analysis reveals a diversification of type of gay bars with increasing urbanization. This diversification seems to reflect an increasing heterogeneity of gay life‐styles in the larger cities. The reasons for such diversification are the same economic and cultural ones that produce diversification among heterosexual institutions. Such diversity of gay life‐styles appears to induce a substantial volume of migration by gays to the larger cities, much as the bright lights of the big city seem to appeal to single heterosexuals. It is suggested that gay and single heterosexual life‐styles are similar in many ways and will become increasingly so in the future.
