摘要:
There is much interest in using renewable energy sources such as wind, wave, and sun to generate electrical energy. The local power companies, Trinidad & Tobago Electricity Commission (TTEC) and Powergen (Power Generation Company of Trinidad & Tobago), have expressed an interest in wind power generation and integration to supplement its conventional fossil fuel, i.e., natural gas, approach. The Caribbean island. Of Tobago was chosen for investigation of its wind power potential mainly due to its better alignment to the prevailing winds, i.e., the North East Trades, than Trinidad.

摘要:
This article speaks to a common problem in a lot of industrial and institutional boilerhouses. Most boilerhouses do an excellent job at collecting information. Circular chart recorders churn out pressures, temperatures, and flows for everything from steam to natural gas to city water consumption. If your facility is like most, this stuff all gets chucked into a drawer or file cabinet daily. Have you ever wondered why you collect and record what you do? What were people thinking when the existing logs were set up? This article attempts to challenge the original thought process and hopes to evoke in you and your staff a renewed vision of what should be collected, how, and then what can be done with it.

摘要:
The aim of this article is to demonstrate the need for complete and accurate analysis of opportunities for desiccant dehumidification technology application. While macroscopic screening processes may be helpful, many software analysis tools available today fall short of providing sound data on which a financial decision can be based. This paper will identify some of the limitations of commonly used simulation tools, detail some case studies, and explain a solution to the shortcomings of the existing tools.

摘要:
The fastest rate of growth in the space conditioning market has been attributed to the application of geothermal heat pumps to the industrial and commercial markets. The author reviews and provides examples of the three most popular components of a large geothermal heat pump system: geothermal earth coupling, heat pumps and heat exchangers, and building side terminals.
