摘要:
AbstractFor vitreous antimony trisulfide films (thickness 6.4 to 16.1 μm) the steady‐state current‐voltage characteristics were measured. The current proportional toU2d−3are interpreted in terms of space‐charge‐limited currents (SCLC) with a single trap level. It is proved that a steep current increase at the end of the square‐law region is caused by trap filling. The values of the parameters of this trapping level calculated using two independent methods – from the temperature dependence of the reduction factor θ and from the trap‐filled limit (TFL) voltage – are in close agreement. AbstractThe resistivity change of thin films of nickel and iron is investigated in planar magnetic fields above 4 kOe. After being saturated, the films exhibit negative slopes of different magnitude in the transverse and longitudinal resistivities. The observations at room temperature indicate essential thickness dependences of the Δϱ‐effect as well as of the slopes. A correlation method is used to prove it. AbstractLiterature is not available on the grain growth in polycrystalline ice. The present paper deals with such grain growth in pure ice and ice doped with sodium chloride. The technique consists in measuring grain size distributions as a function of time and deriving the numberaverage equivalent “diameter”, considering the grains as spheres. The functional relationship between the average diameter and time of growth is, for pure and doped ice, of the same form as that found for metals. Arrhenius plots show that the energy of activation is higher for doped ice than for pure ice. The results are discussed in terms of interfacial free energy as being ultimately responsible for grain growth. AbstractFrom electron transit time measurements the electron drift mobility in KCl has been deduced for the temperature range 200 to 500 °K. By comparison with low temperature Hall mobility data it is concluded that above 300 °K the measured values coincide with the microscopic mobility μ of conduction band electrons which may be described by μ = μ0[exp (θ/T) − 1]. Below 300 °K the measured drift mobility is controlled by the interaction of the conduction band electrons with shallow traps. These traps also influence the electron lifetime.
