摘要:
FORMULA INDEX. THE following index of orgmic compounds of known empirical formula is arranged according to Richter’s system (see Lexikon der KohlenstoJ- Yerbidungen). The elements are given in the order C H 0 N 01 Br I F S P and the remainder alphabetically. The compounds are arranged-Firstly in groups according to the number of carbon atoms (thus C group, C group etc.). Secondly according t o the number of other elements besides carbon contained in the molecule (thus 5 IV indicates that the molecule contains five carbon atoms and four other elements). Thirdly according to the nature of the elements present in the molecule (given in the above order). Fourthly according to the number of atoms of each single element (except carbon) present in the molecule. Salts are placed with the compounds from which they are derived. The chlorides, bromides iodides and cyanides of quaternary ammonium bases however are registered as group-substances. C1 Group.
