摘要:
A procedure for solving the so-ealled vertex optimization problem is developped in [1]. This proceduro is based in the present paper on the use of the extension principle. The problem treated in [1] contains not only a linear objective function but also linear constraints. The so called general vertex optimization problem is treated; and an algorithm based on the extension principle is given.

摘要:
Using a generalized LANGRANGE function for a linear hyperbelie programming problem the author of the present paper construets a dual problem, which becomes a piecewise linear convex programming problem. For such dual problems, propositions on duality are proved containing in particular all propostions of the duality theory of linear programming.

Probabilistic constraint of the type P (Ax≦ β) ≧pis proved that under some conditions the constraining function is quast-conceave. The probabilistic constraint is embedded into a mathematical programming problem of which the algorithmie solution is also discussed.

In the paper some bounds are proved for the mean waising time in reany server queues, especially inM/G/squeues which are more precise than those of KINGMAL and BRUMELLE. ForM/G/squeues bounds are given for the probility that an arriving customor has to loss probility inG/M/sloss systems using a semi-ordering relation.

摘要:
In a goneral three way layout without interactions:a particular choice of the system {nijk} of numbers of observations at the levelsi, j, kof the three factors represent a specific (nomandomized) design of the three way layout. Classes of uniformly optimal designs under different conditions on the availability or observations, i.e. in different sets of admitted designs, are characterized. In cases where uniformly optimal designs do not exist, D and A optimal designs are given. A particular resut is the following: If the numbers of observations are restricted by the systems {ni}, {nj}, {nj} of the total numbers of observations at each level of every factor, then a design dealing with inference with respect to the first factor is uniformly if and only if it satisfics the conditions {nij=ninj/n} and {nik=nk/n} for alliandj. The results obtained establish, in particular optimality statements concerning incomplete designs such as those presented by J. KIEFER in [Ann. Math. Statist. 29 (1958), 675-699] and extension thereof which are given by V. KUROTSOHKA [Symp. on Symmetric Functions in Statisties, Windsor, Ont., 1971].

摘要:
Let bea linear model with independently - not necessary normally – distribused error componentsϵjandwhereV(i=1, …p) are known diagonal matrices and theΘiare unknown scalars (veriance components). Starting from prior distributions with respect to β and Θ BAYES solutions for four elasses of quedratie unblased estimaters for linear functions of the vaciance components are given. They result from solutions of linear equation systems and is general they depend - beside on the experimental design (X,U,V1,…Vp) -– only on skewness and kurtosis of the ϵ,j's and on the first two moments of the prior distribution. For special models there oxist solutions depending neither on the prior distribution nor on the distribution of the ϵj's.
