The present paper deals with sufficient conditions for a system of convex incqualities to be a local approximation of a given arbitrary system in the following sense: the solution set of the first system is tangential to the solution set of the second one at the point under consideration. a criterion is proposed. For the case, in which the given system is of then formx∈D,H(x) ∈N, whereDis a subset of a certain linear topological spaceX,Ha mapping fromDintoRk,Na closed convex cone inRk. Form this eriterion an extremum principle is deduced, which contains as particular cases certain well-known results such as the clasical KUHN-TUCKER theorem, the Halkin's theorein [2], the Mangasarian-Fromowitz's theorem [3]. Some other results (containing a well-known theorem of Ljusternik [7]) are obtained in the case whereHis a mapping fromDinto a Banach spaceY.

The author investigates Finch's generalization of the waiting modelG/G/1.Its special feature arrises if then-th customer finds the system vacant; then he is not served immedinately but only after a random delay. This model is intimately related to a random walk in which the horizontal axis is neither impenetrable nor reflecting. We generalize Finch's theorem concerning the existence of a stationary distributionW′ (x) of the waiting time. The main result is thatW′ has the representationW′ =W*GwhereWis the limit distribution of Lindley's modelG/G/1, andGis another distribution for which an integral equation is given.

摘要:

A direction-depending measure for linear dependences between multivariate random voctors is given: the Direction Correlation (DC). It measures the accuracy of the Best Linear approximation (Prediction) of a random vector by another in view of certain risk functional. The DC is a generalistion of the usual multiple correlation coefficient. The so called Partial DC – as the corresponding generalisation of the parial miltiple correlation coefficient – can proved to be the DC of two random vectors after eliminating the linear influences of a third one. The Canonical Correlations are special maximal DC's and monoton in additional approximation variates (predictors) also for singular covariance matrices.

This paper contains recent results on the construction of subjective probability measures which are almost or strictly agreeing with the qualitative (subjective) probability strueture. The aproaches discussed are exclusively based on Boolean structures which endowed with a binary order relation (‘qualitative probability’) generate a qualitative probability structure. the ropresentation problem can then be formulated as follows: under which conditions (necessary and sufficient) do there exist finitely additive, σ-additive and conditional probability measures compatible with an appropriate qualitative probability structure and in addition satisfying well-known axioms of probability. It is shown that for the solution of the representation problems we can effectively use methods of extensive measurement permitting a behavioristie interpretation. Finally, some remarks concern the role of subjective probability within Bayesian statisties, in partieular regaeding its applications to econometries.
