摘要:
The fishPteragogus pelycusRandall, 1981 is reported from the coast of northern Cyprus for the first time. The species has apparently reached the Mediterranean from the Red Sea through the Suez Canal as a Lessepsian migrant. This record is one of the first of the species in the Mediterranean Sea.

摘要:
This study has been conducted in order to determine the Polyplacophoran species occurring along the Aegean coasts of Turkey. As a result of collecting carried out in different habitats at 21 selected locations, 11 species were identified:Lepidopleurus cajetanus,L. scabridus,Ischnochiton rissoi,Callochiton septemvalvis euplaeae,Lepidochitona cinerea,L. corrugata,L. monterosatoi,Chiton corallinus,Ch. olivaceus,Acanthochitona crinita, andA. fascicularis. Of these species,Lepidopleurus scabridusis reported for the first time from Turkey, andChiton corallinusis new for the Aegean fauna of Turkey.

摘要:
Anadrymadusa jordanican. sp. from Jordan is described from one female specimen; it has elytra fully developed, longer than the whole body, a bi-concave ventral plate, between 7thsternite and subgenital plate, just longer than subgenital plate and showing a large median keel; the subgenital plate is as long as wide, with lobes with obtuse apical edge and a deep subacute excision.

摘要:
173 species of Buprestidae, 48 of them new to the Israeli fauna, are listed and annotated according to their host plants, regional distribution, flight period and frequency in Israel. A list is also given of 76 plant genera/species, and their buprestid fauna. Trophic relations, economic importance and faunal elements are discussed.

摘要:
This study was carried out in Central Anatolian in order to investigate the identity of the Tachinidae flies which are parasitoids of lepidopterous larvae. Larvae of Lepidoptera were kept in the laboratory and their parasitoids were reared out. As a result of this study 18 species of Tachinidae were obtained. Three species are recorded for the first time in Turkey:Carcelia laxi-fronsVilleneuve,Leskia aureaFallen andPhryxe magnicornisZetterstedt.

摘要:
The Tropical Fig Borer,Batocera rufomaculata(De Geer, 1775) is recorded from the eastern Mediterranean Region of Turkey as a genus, species and a fig pest new for Turkey. The material collected and the views of some growers suggest thatB. rufomaculatawas probably introduced to Turkey from Israel, Lebanon, Syria or Iraq in the 1970s.

摘要:
Local differences in species richness and abundance of buprestid beetles were studied at the microsite “Evolution Canyon”, Lower Nahal Oren, Mt. Carmel, Israel, a model conceived for studying biodiversity evolution in a microcosm of life in nature. 39 species were collected at the microsite, and species richness was higher on the more arid and microclimatically stressful and variable south-facing slope than on the milder, more humid and relatively homogeneous north-facing slope. The interslope differences in abundance were significant in five species. New larval host plants were added for nine species, as well as new data about the regional distribution of buprestid beetles. The results support earlier conclusions in various groups of organisms across phylogeny.

摘要:
The genusOrthochirusKarsch, 1891 has recently divided into four separate genera:Orthochirus(s. str.),Paraorthochirus(Lourenço & Vachon, 1995) from Iran,Afghanorthochirus(Lourenço & Vachon, 1997) from Afghanistan, andPakistanorthochirus(Lourenço, 1997) from Pakistan. Four species were known to belong to the genusParaorthochirus, and this paper describes two additional species new to science:P. kinzelbachin.sp. andP. kasparekin.sp., both found in Oman. The description of the two new species provides further evidence to stabilise the generic characters ofParaorthochirus.
