摘要:
AsteriscusMill. is a genus belonging to theInula‐group of the Asteraceae‐Inuleae. It is here delimited to contain three species,A. maritimus(L.) Less.,A. hierochunticus(Michon) Wikl. (generally known asA. pygmaeus(DC.) Coss&Dur.) andA. spinosus(L.) Sch. Bip. (generally known asPallenis spinosa(L.) Cass.), growing largely in the Mediterranean and N African regions. The morphology, phytogeography, phylogeny and systematic position of all three species are discussed and a cladogram of the genus is presen

摘要:
The investigated species areLycopersicon cheesmaniis.str.,L. cheesmaniivar.minor, L. chilense, L. hirsutums. str.,L. hirsuturnf.glabratum, L. “parviflorum”,L. chmielewskii, L. peruvianums. str.,L. peruvianumvar.humifusum, L. pimpinellifoliumandSolanum penellii. Wound‐emitted leaf volatiles isolated and concentrated by adsorption on Tenax GC were separated by capillary gas chromatography. The different species produce different and rather broad patterns of volatiles especially compared to a modem tomato cultivar. There is also a considerable difference between varieties of the same species. When more than one accession was investigated, the results indicated a chemotype differentiation. The chemotypes are in some cases specialized with one or a few quantitatively dominating main components.L. hirsutumemits the greatest number of components. Three accessions had α‐zingeberene, α‐santalene, and limonene as main component, respectively. The investigated accession ofL. hirsutumf.glabratumhas 2‐undecanone as main component, instead of 2‐tride‐canone previously identified as main component in another accession. Both compounds are natural insecticides. The results illustrate the need for basic knowledge of the chemical characters in the ancestors of

摘要:
CampynemantheBaill. consists of three species endemic to New Caledonia. Two species are studied and compared. The tapetum is secretory with 2‐nucleate tapetal cells. Microsprogenesis is successive, microspore tetrads are isobilateral and the pollen grains are free and inaperturate or have a weakly defined aperture. Placentation is axile with 3–4 ovules in each of the three locules. Ovules are anatropous and crassinucellate with the micropyle formed by the inner integument alone. The archesporial cell cuts off a parietal cell, which divides to form a parietal tissue. The nucellar epidermis divides periclinally at the nucellar apex to become 2‐layered. The megaspore tetrad is T‐shaped, in which the micropylar megaspore cells are separated by an oblique wall. The chalazal megaspore enlarges and apparently developes into aPolygonum‐typeembryo sac, but a mature embryo sac has not been seen. The ripe seeds are pale and non‐phytomelaniferous. They have copious endosperm rich in fatty oils. The embryo is minute. These characters and gross morphological similarities support relationship withCampynemaLabill., but there are also conspicuous differences. The two genera are considered related. They also closely approach genera of the variable family Melanthiaceae and there are reasons to include them in

摘要:
The genusDriesseniaKorth. comprises fourteen species and two varieties. Eleven species are endemic to Borneo, the remaining three species occur on Sumatra, Java or Sulawesi. Five species (D. sessiliflora, D. planopetiolata, D. attenuata, D. grandithyrsaandD. aequiappendiculata), one variety (D. microthrixStapf var.pteroclada) and one combination (D. dispar(Cogn.)) are new. The genusTriurantheraBack. is made a synonym ofDriessenia. The revision includes a key to the species, illustrations of various floral parts and maps of distribution.

摘要:
Root primordia are formed in the stems ofSalix viminalisL. during normal growth. Some of these primordia are produced at definite sites in the nodes. The initiation and early structural and ultrastructural development of the nodal primordia were studied in young shoots. In the fourth node below the terminal leaf cluster some parenchyma cells situated at the lateral leaf gaps formed a small group of initial cells. Derivatives of the newly formed interfascicular cambium added cells to that group, in which later on cell divisions in various directions occurred resulting in the formation of a root primordium. Root morphogenesis was studied in cuttings from one‐season‐old stems. The cells in the dormant primordia contained many lipid bodies but only a small amount of starch. After the cuttings had been 24 hours in water starch was accumulating in the plastids and lipid bodies were seen in the vacuoles. 48 hours after activation cell divisions occurred throughout the primordia and a layered apical mer‐istem was organized. After 96 hours a root cap with amyloplasts was formed and the procambium was well developed. The amyloplasts were sedimented in response to gravity. After six days the first roots were ready to emerge from the stems. Their root caps had a well developed columella and endodermal and pericyclic cells were recogni

摘要:
20 strains of predaceous hyphomycetes were isolated. They were tested for the distribution of capture organs (sticky networks) on solid media after induction by nematodes. Heavy production is found near inoculum and behind the mycelial front. Areas of weaker inducibility occurring periodically are distributed all over the colonies. The implication of these results on the behaviour of predacious mycelia inside the soil are discussed.

摘要:
Phytoplankton samples from twenty‐one freshwater localities in the area of Nuuk (Godthåb), West Greenland, have been examined by means of electron microscopy in order to investigate the flora of scale bearing Chrysophyceae. Forty‐two taxa of the generaMallomonas, Synura, Chromophysomonas (Spiniferomonas), ChrysosphaerellaandParaphysomonashave been observed, and thirty‐eight of these are illustrated by TEM or SEM micrographs. Thirty‐four of the observed taxa, among these all members of the genusChromophysomonas, are for the first time recorded from Greenland.Chromophysomonas involutasp.nov. is described. The scale morphology of the Greenlandic specimens is compared with earlier findings from other parts of the world, and the most remarkable features of the chrysophycean flora from the investigated area are d
