Analysis of first‐order partial differential equations via shifted Chebyshev polynomials |

摘要:
The method of Chebyshev polynomials is introduced to represent approximate solutions of first‐order partial differential equations consisting of two independent variables. A set of linear algebraic equations is obtained by using the properties of Chebyshev polynomials and Kronecker product to analyse first‐order partial differential equations. The coefficient vector of Chebyshev polynomials of the first‐order partial differential equations can be obtained directly from Kronecker product formulas, which are suitable for computer computation. A numerical example for a set of first‐order partial differential equations is solved by a Chebyshev polynomials approximation and the results are satisfactory.

Experimental viscosities of 74 binary and 11 ternary systems, ranging from ideal to non‐ideal solutions, are compared with values calculated with several different equations, including five polynomial functions, to gain an insight of each method and the way of improvement.

摘要:
TheG1c–G15vbandgap of the AlxGa1–xAs compound semiconductor withxranging from 0.06 to 0.87 was determined by fitting their Schottky barrier spectral response with a device model. Since the spectral response near the AlxGa1_xAs bandgap is proportional to its absorption coefficient, the bandgap could also be obtained by direct extrapolation of the square response versus photon energy curve to zero response. Both results are shown to be in good agreement. Using samples withxlarger than 0.48, we could also observe additional responses originated fromG15vtoX1candL1cindirect transitions. By using least‐squared fit we obtained not only theXband but also theLband energies. The electrolyte electroreflectance method was also applied to measure the direct bandgap of those samples withxranging from 0.06 to 0.59, and gave similar results.

摘要:
The concept of abstraction can be used to simplify and formalize the design of software. However, most of the existing techniques based on abstraction only consider the control structure but not the data structures in the software. The transformation of a data abstraction, i.e., an abstract data type, to a physical data structure is a complicated process. It is composed of three major parts: a specification technique for describing a data abstraction; a deriving process for deriving the representation of the abstraction based on the specification; and a verification method for verifying the correctness of the specification and the representation of the abstraction. In this paper, we will concentrate on the last two problems, and it is assumed that the algebraic specification technique is used for describing abstract data types. Also, we will use examples to illustrate the use of the proposed approach.
