摘要:
Ray tracing techniques using Geometrical Optics (GO) and the Uniform Geometrical Theory of Diffraction (UTD) are very effective in the prediction of radio wave propagation for a microcellular system. In the applications of those techniques, ray tracing is the most complicated and time consuming procedure in most practical cases. In this paper a very efficient “from plane to space” ray tracing model is presented, which is particularly suitable for applications of the ray tracing techniques in microcellular environments. This model uses an equivalent 2‐D ray tracing algorithm instead of a complicated 3‐D algorithm to solve space problems. An auto‐generating method for efficiently building the database is also presented in this paper. Excellent agreement between predictions and measurements was found.

摘要:
In order to enhance the performance of trouble management in distribution system operations, information integration of SCADA and outage management systems was investigated. Using discrete event simulation techniques, three possible integration schemes were studied. This paper shows a thorough analysis of the system performance of integrated systems under realistic conditions. Test results have indicated that the integrated system, consisting of the two separate but related systems with connection through FDDI LAN, can maintain the performance requirement of each system, and at the same time enhance the overall performance of trouble management.

摘要:
This paper investigates the strictly positive real (SPR) control problem. A unified game theoretic approach is used here to derive the stabilizing controllers which render a closed‐loop system strictly positive real. Both state feedback and output feedback cases are examined. In addition, a parameterization of SPR controllers is also provided.

摘要:
In this paper we propose a simulation‐based algorithm, which is developed using the simulated annealing algorithm, to estimate the maximal power dissipation of sequential and combinational circuits. To trade off between the execution time and the outcomes, we use three strategies with different search spaces to generate input patterns. A statistical model is employed to analyze the equilibrium condition for each temperature in our simulated annealing process. The glitch phenomena caused by the gate delay and signal transition are also considered in this paper.
