摘要:
In this paper proposed is a general framework of accounting for the rotary effect on the constitutive equation of a rotational deformable object in a general deformation setting which may contain large rotation and/or spinning. Utilizing the framework we deal with the equations of the rate‐type, the total‐type, and the incremental‐type. The total‐type equation is found valid for any kinematic environment as manifested in many applications; for example, it is generally taken for granted that the constitutive law of hyperelasticity can be used directly in the problem of large deformation/rotation of an elastic material. In dealing with the rate‐type constitutive law, the proposed framework renders among others a natural definition of the Jaumann stress rate, which in the past looked rather unusual and the intrinsic meaning of which appeared not easy to apprehend. The power of the proposed framework is highlighted in our developing the incremental‐type constitutive equation in such a way as to satisfy the principle of objectivity exactly during the whole process of loading, this being quite important both from theoretical and computational points of view. The traditional, time‐consuming steps of the time integration of the rate‐type constitutive equation is thus bypassed.

摘要:
Blast‐furnace slags cooled at different rates were used to study the effect of fineness, mixing method and content of slag on the strength development of blended‐slag mortar. Activator and curing temperature were used to activate the early strength. The microstructure of blended‐slag paste was also investigated in this study to explain the strengthen effect.

摘要:
In this paper, the dilatancy rate of a sand in the triaxial drained test was proposed to evaluate the liquefaction potential of the sand. Based on laboratory test data, the relationship between the dilatancy rate and the liquefaction resistance was developed. The effects of most of the factors affecting the liquefaction potential, such as relative density, confining pressure, overconsolidation, period of sustained loading, and fines content, are all considered in this relationship. It can be applied to various sands of hard and bulky particles. However, the effect of particle crushing should be taken into account for sands of flaky and friable particles.

摘要:
To improve productive efficiency has long been considered as the main objective by most firms. In this paper, a model for measuring productive efficiency is proposed. So every firm can use its measured efficiency as a base for improvement. The model is a nonlinear fractional program based on a Cobb‐Douglas production function to accommodate non‐constant returns to scale. The model is also applied to measuring the productive efficiency of the computer industry in Taiwan.

摘要:
In this paper, the salt effect of lithium bromide (LiBr) on the dimethyl formamid (DMF) solution polymerization of acrylonitrile was studied. From the experimental data, we proposed a possible mechanism and derived its rate expression to determine the kinetic parameters for this system. The results show that the values ofkv/ktr(1.984∼79.365) andkt/k2tr(3.311×l02∼3.156×l05sec·mole/1) of the DMF‐LiBr solution polymerization of acrylonitrile are larger than those of the DMF‐LiCl solution polymerization of acrylonitrile shown by Bamford and others. These results can be explained by the basicity of salt and the dissociation of polyacrylonitrile in the DMF‐LiBr solution.

摘要:
A squared magnitude Padé approximation technique is presented for the model simplification of stable discrete‐time systems. The simplification is started from the squared magnitude functionM(ejTω)=G(ejTω)G(e–jTω), whereG(z) is thez‐transfer function of a given high order discrete‐time system. The method is fully computer‐oriented and leads to a satisfactory approximation while preserving stability and minimum‐phase characteristics.

摘要:
This paper presents a research on the stress‐strain relationship of reinforcing bars under compression tests. From the test observations, a yielding section is found to develop from a certain point and then to propagate throughout the entire longitudinal length. This behavior results in a transition stage of the longitudinal stress‐strain curve between the elastic and full plastic states. At this transition state, the lateral strain is closely related to the location of the clamped extensometer.

The inelastic behavior of statically indeterminate non‐prestressed concrete structures can be predicted by the trilinear theory proposed recently by the author [17]. In this paper, the trilinear theory is further developed to include prestressed concrete by using concepts defined byα, β, andτ.This generalized theory excellently predicts the moment redistribution of two 50 ft‐long continuous prestressed concrete test beams described in [7].

摘要:
Three different ways of using fly ash, namely, partial replacement of cement, or sand, or both cement and sand in the cement mortar, were studied in this investigation. The replacement varied from 10 percent to 60 percent by weight. The effects of design parameters such as water‐cement ratio and curing temperature on the replacements were studied. In this paper, strategies of using fly ash in concrete construction were also proposed in order to conserve resources.
