摘要:
The purpose of this study is to develop a concise multiple filter technique to analyze the nonstationary characteristics of seismographs. The display of instantaneous amplitude as well as particle locus provides simultaneous description of frequency and time domain characteristics for an accelerogram. Based on the orbit spectrum analysis of three‐dimensional seismic waves, the wave types can be identified through the study of SMART‐1 array data. The mathematical form of coherence has been proposed to examine the spatial variation of these identified seismic waves. Finally, the application of spatial variation of seismic waves for soil‐structure interaction is discussed.

摘要:
For the class of ductile redundant structures such as plastic frameworks, a computer program is written to calculate the collapse probability of the structure. Loads and resistances are regarded as random variables, and the users are required to input basic information concerning these random variables. Then the computer program will calculate the collapse probability of the structure automatically, thus making a probabilistic analysis as simple as a conventional deterministic analysis for an analyst. Theoretical basis for such a computer program and an illustrative example are presented in this paper.

摘要:
The purpose of this paper is to examine the various factors affecting power system dynamic stability. A characteristic feature of this paper is that the load frequency controller as well as the stabilizing transformer and power system stabilizer are included in the model to examine the interactions between the load frequency controllers and the excitation controllers, which have been neglected in previous studies. Both the eigenvalues and the dynamic responses are calculated as an example in this paper.

摘要:
A new method is proposed for the parameter identification of linear time‐invariant discrete single‐input‐single‐output systems by the application of the discrete Chebyshev transformation. The input and output data sequences of a system represented by difference equation are first transformed into discrete Chebyshev spectra. Using spectrum matching, the parameter identification problem becomes the solution of a set of overdetermined simultaneous linear algebraic equations. Examples with and without noise contamination are given to illustrate the new method.
