摘要:
The leaf oil ofDiplolophium africanumTurcz. from the Koumondè region of northern Togo was analyzed using both Kovats indices and GC/MS. We identified 24 compounds including α-pinene (38%) and β-pinene (20%) as the major components followed by p-mentha-1,3,8-triene (11%). Except for a substantial decrease in the amount of the latter compound in one sample, the composition of the oil varied only slightly with the collection period. The oil exhibits insecticidal activity against the bruchidsCallosobruchus maculatusFab. andCallosobruchus subinnotatusPic.

摘要:
The headspace and solvent extract of the flowersof Mimusops elengiL. were analyzed by capillary GC and GC/MS.A total of 74 compounds were identified, of which the major chemical classes were aromatic alcohols and esters derived from the phenylpropanoid metabolism. Headspace analysis showed 2-phenylethanol (37.80%), methyl benzoate (13.40%), p-methylanisole (9.94%) and 2-phenylethyl acetate (7.16%) as most abundant, whereas in the solvent extract 2-phenylethanol (38.79%), (E)-cinnamyl alcohol (13.72%) and 3-hydroxy-4-phenyl-2-butanone (4.74%) were dominant.

摘要:
The chemical composition of the root extractives ofChamaecyparis pisiferawas investigated. Six sesquiterpenes, namely, calamenene (0.21% based on the weight of oven-dried wood), β-cadinene (0.08%), T-cadinol (0.31%), α-cadinol (0.33%), 4-epicryptomeridiol (0.05%) and cryptomeridiol (0.08%) were isolated and identified.

摘要:
The essential oils from two varieties ofThymbra spicatavar.spicataand var.intricata(endemic in Turkey) obtained by hydrodistillation were studied by GC and GC/MS. Forty-one compounds which made up 95.66–99.99% of the oil were identified. The major component in all the oils but one was carvacrol (49.19–76.86%). Thymol (50.71%) was the main component in the oil of one strain of T.spicatavar.intricata.

The essential oils isolated from the leaves ofEucalyptus camaldulensisDehn.,E. grandisW. Hill ex Maiden.,E. citriodoraHook.,E. globulusLabill. andE. maideniiF. Muell. by hydrodistillation were analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Based on their yield and composition, the oils ofE. camaldulensisand E.grandisare considered as unacceptable for commercial essential oil production, whileE. citriodoracould be an interesting source of citronellol. The oils ofE. maideniiandE. globulusare potential sources of 1,8-cineole but they need redistillation to boost their 1,8-cineole contents.

An essential oil ofElsholtzia densaBenth. collected in the Chamoli district of Indian Himalaya was found to be rich in a single component (86%). Using13C-NMR and1H-NMR the isolated compound was shown to be rosefuran epoxide.

摘要:
The effect of several factors on in vitro rooting of the Kazanlak oil-bearing rose has been studied. Using the Murashige Skoog nutrient medium, the concentrations of naphthalene acetic acid (0.05 and 0.1 mg/L), the presence of phloroglucinol and variation in the quantity of mineral salts used were evaluated. Also, the conditions of microplant cultivation such as temperature, light and photoperiod, as well as the changes during growing in a two-phase-nutrient medium (solid, including the tested variants, plus liquid) were studied. Optimum results were obtained using a nutrient medium with 25% of the recommended mineral salts normally encountered in the medium plus 0.1 mg/L naphthalene acetic acid and 126 mg/L phloroglycinol in the presence of light. Analogous results were obtained for both the single and two-phase-nutrient media.

摘要:
The composition of the essential oil and of the hexane extract of the stem bark ofAniba canelillawas analyzed by means of GC/MS, MS and NMR spectroscopy. In addition to confirming the presence of some previously identified constituents such as 1-nitro-2-phenylethane, safrole and eugenol, this study allowed us to identify β-sitosterol, α-pinene, β-pinene, benzaldehyde, phenylacetaldehyde, methoxy eugenol, methyl eugenol, and (−)-selin-11-en-4α-ol. 1-Nitro-2-phenylethane was found to exhibit a high toxicity towards yeasts especiallyCandida albicans.The LD50of a petroleum ether extract from this plant was determined to be greater than 800 mg/kg for BALB/c mice.

摘要:
The volatile constituents of the rhizome and root oils of VietnameseAlpinia breviligulataGagnep. were investigated by high resolution GC and GC/MS. More than 35 components have been identified. The rhizome oil consisted mainly of β-pinene (11.1%), borneol (7.0%), (β-caryophyllene (8.0%), α-humulene (7.9%) and caryophyllene oxide (10.5%). The major components of the root oil were 1,8-cineole (6.0%), borneol (5.5%), fenchyl acetate (8.8%), β-caryophyllene (7.5%), α-humulene (10.8%) and caryophyllene oxide (13.0%).
