摘要:
The chemical composition of the essential oil ofPectis elongatafrom Martinique was analyzed for the first time by GC/MS. The major components were found to be neral (15.65–27.47%), geranial (24.56–40.15%) and geranic acid (5.00–19.88%), the levels of which depended on the state of maturity of the plant and its collection site. The biostatic activity of the oil and two solvent extracts from the leaves was evaluated against five bacterial and six fungal strains. The oil showed higher activity than the extracts towards both the bacterial and fungal strains with an MIC of 0.5 mg/mL when screened againstStaphylococcus aureus, E. coliandMycobacterium smegmatis.

摘要:
Water-distilled essential oils from the crushed fruits ofHeracleum platytaenium, an endemic species collected from two localities in Turkey were analyzed by capillary GC and GC/MS. Ten compounds representing 94.36% and 93.92% of the oils were identified, octyl acetate being the major component (72.29% and 76.69%) in both oils.

摘要:
The leaf oil of the Florida torreya,Torreya taxifolia, an endangered species, which was obtained by simultaneous steam distillation-solvent extraction was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Although 24 components were identified in the oil, it was found to be hydrocarbon-rich with limonene (40.78%), α-pinene (7.59%), (E)-β-farnesene (6.16%), and δ-cadinene (6.60%) being in greatest abundance.

摘要:
The essential oils obtained from leaves and rhizomes ofPeucedanum zenkeriEngl. were analyzed by GC and GC/MS; both samples contained the same number of components (35 identified) but in different amounts. Limonene (23.2%), myrcene (8.9%) and myristicin (7.6%) were found to be the major constituents of the leaf oil, whereas the rhizome oil was rich in dillapiole (19.1%), δ-3-carene (14.7%) and myristicin (9.0%).
