摘要:
The leaf oil ofLippia multiflorawas examined by GC and GC/MS and found to contain (Z)-tagetone (11.3%) and (E)-tagetone (30.2%) as major constituents. It was found to be highly active against isolated microorangisms of the buccal flora. A mouthwash prepared at a dilution of 1/500 of the essential oil showed the same activity as the oil. Tests for toxicity proved negative. The results obtained thus far reveal a particularly promising potential for the large scale use ofL. multiflora.

摘要:
Oils produced fromOriganum hypericifolium, an endemic species, were analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Carvacrol (64.33%) was found to be the major component in the oil from plants collected before flowering, whereas p-cymene (36.10–47.75%) was the major constituent in the oils from plants collected while in full flower

摘要:
Both the steam volatile leaf and flower oils ofActinodium cunninghamii, obtained in 0.3–0.4% w/w on a fresh weight basis, were found to comprise 90% or more of α-pinene. The remainder of the oils consisted of a mixture of mono- and sesquiterpenes

摘要:
The comparative analyses of the essential oils obtained by hydrodistillation of bark ofDaniellia oliveri(Rolfe) Hutch & Dalz. from Benin and Burkina Faso were performed by GC and GC/MS. Twenty-three components representing 92.2–97.7% of the oils were identified. The chemical compositions of both oils were qualitatively comparable. The oils were found to comprise exclusively of sesquiterpenoids, a majority of which were hydrocarbons. The most abundant compounds were α-copaene (6.0–12.0%), germacrene D (4.5–29.5%) and δ-cadinene (25.5–29.8%).
