摘要:
Hay storage ofCymbopogon martiniiandC. winterianus, either in the shade or in the open, was found to be advantageous during summer and rainy seasons, respectively. Maximum enhancements of 31.4% and 18.0% in oil content over the fresh distilled herbs were recorded in 5 and 7 days respectively. The safe limit of herb storage varied according to the species and storage conditions. Storage ofC. flexuosusherbage always caused a reduction in oil content except during the summer when it was not affected for three days under shade storage. Temperature and humidity were found to play a vital role in biosynthesis/accumulation of essential oils in stored herbs.

摘要:
The chemical composition of the seed and fruit peel oils ofAlpinia breviligulataGagnep. was examined by GC and GC/MS. More than 20 and 30 constituent were found to be present in the seed and fruit peel oils respectively. The main compounds, accounting for 79.9% and 41.4% of the respective oils, were (E,E)-farnesol (65.0%), geranyl acetate (8.8%), and α-humulene (6.1%) in the seed oil, and β-pinene (22.9%), α-terpineol (7.3%), and caryophyllene oxide (11.2%) in the fruit peel oil.

摘要:
The chemical composition of two wildPsidiumspecies(Psidium pohlianumBerg, andP. guyanensisPers.) collected in the National Park of Araripe, Crato-CE, Northeast of Brazil, are described and compared. Besides 1,8-cineole as the major constituent (40.5–60.3%), α-pinene, β-eudesmol and γ-eudesmol were found to be common compounds in both species. β-Pinene, elemol and spathulenol were found only inP. guyanensis, whereas p-cymene and α-terpinyl acetate were identified only inP. pohlianum.

摘要:
The leaf essential oil obtained fromAustrobaileya scandensin 0.15–0.31% w/w yield has as its major components β-pinene (1.3–44.2%), α-pinene (3.1–30.3%), β-caryophyllene (2.3–13.0%), δ-cadinene (2.8–9.0%) and spathulenol (0.9–11.9%). In all, 65 compounds were detected in the oil, the majority being sesquiterpenes.

摘要:
The essential oil isolated by steam distillation from the aerial parts ofCentella asiatica(L.) Urb. was analyzed by capillary GC and GC/MS. Among the 41 compounds identified, the major chemical category was the sesquiterpenoids (79.7%), with β-caryophyllene (26.8%), α-humulene (33.7%) andgermacrene-D (10.0%) beingthe most abundant.

摘要:
Three samples (headspace, essential oil and a dichloromethane extract) ofVitis vinifera(Vitaceae) flowers (species “Grüner Veltliner”) were analyzed by GC, GC/FTIR and GC/MS to determine the volatile constituents of this odorous flower from Austrian vineyards. Although more than 30 compounds were identified by these procedures, only the sesquiterpenes valencene, α- and β-farnesene, β-bisabolene, α-humulene, β- and δ-selinene, γ-cadinene and nerolidol as well as 2-tridecanone and benzyl benzoate were considered to be important components of the aroma of the flowers ofV. viniferaas determined by a GC-sniffing technique.

摘要:
The essential oil, which was obtained by steam distillation from the sawdust ofCedrus atlanticaMan. from Morocco, was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Fifty-three components were identified among which the three α-, β- and γ-isomers of himachalene (70%) were predominant. Smaller amounts of the (E) and (Z) isomers of α-, β- and γ-atlantone were also present.
