摘要:
The bark oils obtained by hydrodistillation fromEntandophragma cylindricumSprague growing in Cameroon and in Central Africa Republic were analyzed by GC and GC/MS. The major constituents of both oils were δ-cadinene (9.1–22.9%), α-copaene (6.5–21.9%) and T-cadinol (17.5–27.6%); however, the Cameroonian oil was found to be completely devoid of monoterpenoid compounds, whereas the Central African sample contained about 15% monoterpenoids.

摘要:
The essential oil of Indian curry leaf(Murraya koenigiiSpreng.) collected from two different places in India has been investigated for its composition by GC and GC/MS. The oils from the two places were found to contain mostly monoterpenes and oxygenated monoterpenes. The main constituents of the oil identified are α-pinene (19.0–19.7%), sabinene (31.8–44.8%), β-pinene (4.2–4.7%), α-terpinene (1.3–4.3%), β-phellandrene (6.5–7.9%), γ-terpinene (3–9-7.1%) and terpinen-4-ol (5.2–9-9%).

摘要:
The chemical constituents of the essential oil ofZataria multifloraBoiss. (Labiatae) have been investigated by means of GC, GC/MS,1H- and13C-NMR techniques. The oil isolated from aerial parts of the plant consisted mostly of carvacrol (62.4%), methyl carvacrol (6.5%), carvacrol acetate (4.4%), p-cymene (7.1%) and γ-terpinene (5.6%). Among the sesquiterpenes identified in this oil, 9-aristolen-lα-ol (1.6%) was the most abundant compound.

摘要:
Several essential oils obtained fromArtemisia absinthiumL. from four localities in the Spanish Pyrenees were analyzed by GC/MS. Two chemotypes were detected; a cis-epoxyocimene type (with more than 50% of this compound) which was predominant in all the populations, and a cis-epoxyocimene + chrysanthenyl acetate type (with 25–65% of cis-epoxyocimene and 15–50% of chrysanthenyl acetate). The distribution of these chemotypes had no relation with the altitude of the samples. None of the plants tested contained thujone, a fact which could be very interesting for the food industry.

摘要:
The potential of near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy for the determination of secondary metabolites in leaves of differentMenthaspecies was investigated. Based on the reference values, received by hydrodistillation and gas chromatography, respectively, the correlation strength between these data and the NIRS prediction is shown by the R2statistics. Furthermore, the standard error of cross validation (SECV) was found to be the best additional estimate of prediction accuracy. In contrast to the time consuming reference methods, NIRS allows the analyst to predict the content of most importantMenthaterpenoids already after an analysis time of approximately one minute simultaneously. The study demonstrates that NIRS can be successfully applied as a rapid method not only in breeding research and during growth in the fields, but also to determine the individual oil quality after distillation, blending and rectification processes.

摘要:
Volatile compounds fromMentha spicataL. leaf were extracted by hexane extraction and supercritical Co2. Yield obtained by solvent extraction was 1.67% and 0.47% with supercritical Co2extraction. Sensory profiles and GC/MS analysis of both extracts were performed and their results were compared to those obtained by steam distillation. The difference in aroma of the extracts was quite noticeable and is attributed to qualitative and quantitative differences in components.

摘要:
The leaf and stem bark oils ofCinnamomum sulphuratumNees, growing wild in northeast India, were investigated by GC and GC/MS. Forty-six and twenty-nine components were identified, representing 96.2% and 94.4% of the oils, respectively. Geranial (27.8%), geraniol (23.2%) and neral (17.6%) were the major constituents of the leaf oil. The bark oil was rich in (E)-cinnamaldehyde (65.6%).

摘要:
The composition of the essential oils obtained fromInula crithmoides specimens, harvested from wild populations during their flowering season in Greece, Malta and Spain was investigated by means of GC and GC/MS. All oils were dominated by monoterpene hydrocarbons with α-phellandrene (11.0–26.2%), β-phellandrene (0.0–30.7%) and p-cymene (trace-53.8%) being the major components. p-Cymene, the main component of the Spanish specimens (53.8%), appeared to gradually decrease from West to East. The main component of the Greek oil was found to be β-phellandrene (30.7%). A total of 46 compounds were identified.

摘要:
Water-distilled essential oils fromAjuga chamaepityssubsp.chiavar.chiaand var.ciliatawere analyzed by GC/MS. β-pinene (20.8%) and germacrene D (12.6%), were identified as main components among the 65 compounds characterized in the oil of var.chia. Ninety-one compounds were characterized in the oil of var.ciliatawith germacrene D (14.6%) and β-pinene (14.0%) as main constituents.
