摘要:
The essential oil obtained by hydrodistillation of the leaves and twigs of Tabletop Acacia,Acacia nuperrimassp.cassitera(Mimosaceae) growing wild in north eastern Australia was investigated by GC/MS and FTIR. Two chemical forms yielding 0.6% and 0.3% on a dry weight basis were found to be rich in kessane (88.8%) and α-pinene (16.2%), respectively.

摘要:
Pet. Ether (65°-69°C) extracts ofEucalyptus olidaL. Johnson et K. Hill leaves and stems from 3-5 year old trees in a trial planting generally contained very high levels (>91% of oil yield) of methyl cinnamate (MC). Some trees had low (0%) or variable levels (0-21%) of MC, highlighting the need to explore selection of proven clones for plantation-scale production of MC. Leaf age and time of harvesting affected MC levels and yields, and also oil yields, which peaked in younger leaves in mid summer. In general, higher MC yields were more closely related to high yields of oil in the foliage rather than high levels of MC in the oil.

摘要:
The essential oil from fresh leaves ofRosmarinus officinalisL. from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, was isolated by hydrodistillation and analyzed through a combination of GC and GC/MS. Compounds representing 98.3% of the oil were identified. Forty-five constituents were identified according to their chromatographic retention indices and mass spectra. The major constituents of the oil were camphor (26.0%), 1,8-cineole (22.1%), myrcene (12.4%) and α-pinene (11.5%).

摘要:
Genetic control of volatile oil production inAgastache foeniculumand, more specifically, of the production of myrcene, limonene, and methyl chavicol, three major components of its essential oils, was elucidated. Controlled crosses were made between individuals with different chemotypes, and F2populations were analyzed for their composition of volatiles by using headspace gas chromatography. Total aromatic volatile emittance was found to be under polygenic control with additive gene effects for four of eight families studied, and each of the three major components was controlled by one to a few genes with recessive to additive effects. Evidence is also presented suggesting that population PI 561057 transmits a genetic factor or factors that suppress the overall production of the major volatile oil components.

摘要:
The essential oil ofMentha pulegiumL., Lamiaceae was obtained by steam distillation of the herb, collected during the period of full flowering, when 0.2% was gained. The analysis of its chemical composition was performed using GC and GC/MS. Twenty-two components (89.9% of the total oil) were identified. The principal one was menthone (30.9%), while the other important were pulegone (14.1%) and neomenthol (13.8%) and caryophyllene oxide (9.0%).

摘要:
Essential oil composition of the fruit oils ofPiper chaba, P. longumandP. nigrumwere investigated by GC and GC/MS. UnlikeP. nigrumoil,P. chabaandP. longumoils were found to contain few monoterpene hydrocarbons, a moderate content of sesquiterpenes and high content of aliphatic hydrocarbons. The content of caryophyllene oxide (7.4%) was the highest inP. chabaand that of β-caryophyllene was found to be 39.7%, 10.2% and 5.2% in,P. nigrum, P. longumandP. chaba, respectively.

摘要:
The effect of mineral fertilization on the composition of the essential oil from the leaves and flowers ofTagetes patulafrom Bulgaria during the flowering period (July-September) was investigated by GC/MS. The highest oil yield was obtained from leaves in July for N4P2K4(0.63%) and the basic components were piperitenone (29.4%) and piperitone (13.5%). The mineral fertilization had no effect on the oil yield from the flowers. Regardless of the variant, it was found that the flower oils in July were rich in caryophyllene oxide (12.0-48.4%) and piperitenone (3.0-7.0%), while the oil composition in September was different.
