Indole was identified in tuberose varieties cultivated under tropical climate. The indole content in the absolute obtained from tuberose varieties ‘single,’ ‘double,’ ‘hybrid single’ and ‘hybrid double’ was found to vary in the range of 0.36–2.15%

The essential oil content of the leaves ofEucalyptus radiataSieb, ex DC subsp.robertsonii(Blakely) L. Johnson et D. Blaxell. varied from 6.7% to 8.4% (DWB) during different seasons. GC/MS analysis of the oil led to the identification of 24 constituents comprising 96.3% of the oil. The major component was 1,8-cineole (74.25%) followed by α-terpineol (11.6%) and limonene (4.5%). The oil content is highest among all the reportedEucalyptusspecies and as it is devoid of α-and β-phellandrene, it complies with the specifications of the British and U.S. Pharmacopoeias for Eucalyptus oil without any rectification

Samples of the essential oil from the leaves ofCleistocalyx operculatusRoxb. Merr. et Perry of Vietnamese origin were analyzed by a combination of high resolution GC and GC/MS. Thirty components have been identified of which the major compounds were found to be (Z)-β-ocimene (32.1%), myrcene (24.6%), β-caryophyllene (14.5%) and (E)-β-ocimene (9.4%)

A water-distilled oil from aerial parts ofThymus syriacuswas examined by GC/MS. Thirty-four components representing 94.75% of the oil were characterized. The major components were thymol (49.04%), carvacrol (15.87%), p-cymene (6.75%) and borneol (5.94%)
