摘要:
The chemical composition of the fruit oils are reported forMangifera indicaL., cultivar ‘Langra,’ cultivar ‘Bombay’ and cultivar ‘Desi’ from India. The oils were obtained by hydrodistillation and analyzed by GC and GC/MS. The oil of cultivar ‘Langra’ was characterized by δ-3-carene (61.7%) as major constituent. The oil of cultivar ‘Bombay’ was found to contain α-pinene (26.6%), caryophyllene oxide (14.5%) and humulene oxide (5.3%). The oil of cultivar ‘Desi’ had considerable p-cymen-8-ol (28.6%) and moderate amounts of δ-3-carene (5.7%).

摘要:
The essential oil produced by steam distillation and the volatile concentrate obtained by supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) from freshly harvested finely cut flowering tops of the clary sage were analyzed by GC and GC/MS. The concentration of linalool, myrcene, p-cymene, α-terpineol, neryl acetate and geranyl acetate was higher in the distilled oil than in the oil obtained by SFE. The ratio of linalyl acetate to linalool in the distilled oil and in the SFE extract was 0.7 and 9.6, respectively. Only the SFE extract was found to contain sclareol.

摘要:
The composition of essential oils from two sources of oleoresins ofProtium heptaphyllumwere analyzed by GC/MS and Retention Index. The composition of the oils varied according to fresh or aged resin. The oil of fresh resin was rich in α-terpinene (18.0%), p-cymene (36.0%) and γ-terpinene (12.0%), whereas the aged resin oil contained p-cymene (11.0%), terpinolene p-cymen-8-ol (11.0%) and dillapiole (16.0%).

The essential oil obtained by steam distillation of solids and effluents from the commercial oil extraction of grapefruit was analyzed by GC/MS. Twenty-eight components were identified, which constituted 98% of the oil. The major constituent was limonene (70.9%).

摘要:
A new essential oil fromEucalyptus cloezianais described, which contains a combin ation of compounds found in two chemovars previously known. This new chemovar contains α-pinene (62%), predominantly present as (+)-α-pinene, and tasmanone (6%). Limonene and linalool were present as (+)-enantiomers. Tasmanone is a possible therapeutic compound.

摘要:
The essential seed oils of the fennel collection (42 accessions) of the Gatersleben gene bank, which were obtained by hexane extraction, have been examined by GC. In the compositions of the oils four chemotypes could be distinguished, which are differentiated by the presence or absence of the main compounds (E)-anethole and methyl chavicol, respectively.

摘要:
The leaf oils of the leaves of twoPelargoniumspecies,P. papilionaceumL. L'Herit. andP. vitifoliumL. L'Herit. (Geraniaceae) and a cultivar ‘Sweet Rosina,’ were found to contain citronellic acid, ranging from 27.9% to 89.3%. The essential oils were obtained by both steam distillation and using solvent extraction in both hexane and petroleum spirit and the citronellic acid was identified by comparison with a standard using GC and also GC/MS. The presence of citronellic acid has not been reported inP. papilionaceumbefore and its occurence in the cultivar ‘Sweet Rosina’ cannot be explained as both parents were devoid of the acid.

摘要:
Water-distilled essential oils from aerial parts ofThymus pseudopulegioidescollected from three different localities in Turkey were analyzed by GC/MS. One hundred and four compounds were identified representing 97.5–99.5% of the total components detected in thymol/carvacrol (50.14/10.67%), thymol/linalool (23.14/20.24%) and linalool/α-terpinyl acetate/geraniol (21.55/16.70/11.17%) rich oils.

摘要:
Propagating ‘Black Mitcham’ peppermint(Mentha piperita L.) usingin vitromeristem culture has produced a more vigorous plant biotype that produces more dry matter, but less essential oil than biotypes propagated with stem cut culture. Management systems need to be developed that will take advantage of the increased vigor of the meristem peppermint. The objectives of this research were to develop double cutting systems for meristem peppermint by determining the effects of double cutting on essential oil yield, oil quality, and stand longevity. Experiment 1 (1994/1995) compared single cutting (1 Aug 1994) to double cutting with first harvests on 21 June, 28 June, 5 July, 12 July and 19 July and second harvests on 1 Sep or 27 Sep Experiment 2 (1995/1996) compared a single cutting (7 Aug 1995) to double cutting with first harvest on 11 July and second harvests on 1,8,15 and 22 Sep. In the second year of each experiment, all plots were harvested on the same date to determine effects of the previous year's cutting schedules on plant vigor, oil yield and stand longevity. Double cutting meristem Black Mitcham peppermint increased essential oil yields by 200% in 1994 and 54% in 1995 as compared with single cutting. The best double-cut combination in 1994 was 12 July and 1 September and in 1995 was 11 July and 15 September. Detrimental effects on subsequent plant vigor and stand in the year after double cutting were negligible in each experiment. The early June harvests produced immature oils, whereas late second harvests produced overmature oils. Peppermint growers must be aware that some price adjustments could be made for these atypical oils. It appears that double cutting meristem peppermint can be an option in years when normal growth is evident.

摘要:
The chemical composition of the oils of fiveElsholtziaspecies found in the Himalayan region of India have been determined using a combination of techniques such as SiO2column chromatography, TLC, GC, GC/MS,1H-NMR,13C-NMR and IR.E. blandaoil was found to be rich in linalool (44.9%) and geranyl acetate (37.2%),E. fruticosaoil contained 1,8-cineole (18.0%), perillene (20.5%) and terpinen-4-ol (12.6%) whileE. densaoil contained dehydroelsholtzia ketone (20.6%) and borneol (12.6%). The major component ofE. incisaoil was thymol (70.6%). Two oils ofE. ciliatewere found to possess different compositions. One oil contained rosefuran (84.8%) as the major constituent, whereas the other oil was rich in dehydroelsholtzia ketone (65.2%).
