摘要:
The oil isolated by hydrodistillation from the leaves ofLippia albagrowing in plain regions of North India, was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Fifty-nine components were identified accounting for approximately 98% of the total oil. Myrcene (26.4%) was found as a major component followed by geranial (9–8%), neral (6.4%), 6-methyl-5-hepten-2-ol (5.9%), β-caryophyllene (4.3%), junenol (4.2%), geraniol (3.9%), 6-methyl-5-hepten-2-one (3.3%), linalool (3.2%), etc.

摘要:
The essential oils obtained by hydrodistillation of four Labiatae herbs, namelySalvia crytantha. Montbr. et Auch.,Satureja cuneifoliaTen.,Thymbra spicata L. andThymus cilicicusBoiss. et Bal. growing wild in Middle Anatolian provinces of Turkey, were analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Fifty-four compounds were identified inS. cryptanthaoil of which camphor (18.1%), 1,8-cineole (17.8%), and bornyl acetate (11.4%) were major. In the oils ofS. cuneifolia, 38 compounds were identified, with thymol (43.6–65.5%), carvacrol (4.7–31.2%), γ-terpinene (trace-13.7%) and p-cymene (trace-11.5%) being dominant. Of the 33 compounds identified inT. spicataoil, the main components were p-cymene (22.1%), γ-terpinene (21.4%), carvacrol (21.1%) and thymol (11.8%). The oil ofT. cilicicus, which contained 35 constituents, was found to be rich in α-terpineol (16.4%) and camphor (9.7%).

摘要:
The essential oil ofSolidago litoralisSavi, a neoendemic from North Tuscany (Italy) has been studied for the first time. The main constituents are myrcene, α-pinene and β-caryophyllene. These results confirm the specific rank of the plant, previously considered a subspecies ofS. virgaurea.

摘要:
The essential oil fromHyptis mutabilis(Rich.) Briq., obtained by hydrodistillation of the aerial part of the plants over two consecutive years, and collected at diferent vegetative stages, flowering and flowering-fructification, did not differ in regard to the composition of analyzed sesquiterpenes but showed variation in the relative concentration of one of its constituents. The oil yield decreased from 0.5% during flowering to 0.3% during flowering-fructification (fresh weight basis). It was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Twenty-four compounds were identified, which represented 93–5% of the oil in the flowering stage and 92.5% of it in the flowering-fructification one. The oil was found to contain β-caryophyllene (14.3–12.0%), germacrene D (14.7–15.3%), curzerene (11.5–12.7%) and bicyclogermacrene (12.1–14.2%) as major compounds.

摘要:
The chemical composition and spasmolytic activity in isolated guinea-pig ileum of the essential oil ofArtemisia albaTurra has been determined. The oil was hydrodistilled from the plant's flowering tops gathered in two very ecologically different Appennine environments: die gravely substrata of the mean-water bed of the Taro river (Taro-oil)and the calcareous-marly declivities of a modest relief of the central Apennines (Morro di Camerino,Morro-oil). GC and GC/MS analyses of the oil revealed a similar qualitative composition (terpenes and phenols for a total of 59 components identified) with a constant predominance of thujone and camphor in theTaro-oiland a percentage of artemisia ketone in theMorro-oilwhich varied notably in the two harvests gathered in successive years. All the samples demonstratedin vitro(against carbachol) a notable dose-dependent, essentially non-competitive spasmolytic action which was greatest in the sample with the highest content of artemisia ketone.

摘要:
The chemical composition of the essential oil obtained from the aerial parts ofNepeta asterotrichusRsch. F. et Aell. was examined by using GC and GC/MS. Among the 15 components identified in this oil, terpinen-4-ol (22.8%), 1,8-cineole (17.4%), 4aβ 7a, 7aβ-nepetalactone (14.8%), linalool (12.5%) and γ-terpinene (10.6%) were found to be the major constituents.

摘要:
The essential oils of leaves and seeds ofClausena anisata(Rutaceae) from Cameroon were analyzed by GC/FID, GC/MS and GC-sniffing. The oils are characterized by a high percentage of oxygenated monoterpenes. The major components in the leaf oil were (Z)-tagetenone (26.8%), (E)-tagetenone (19.2%), (E)-nerolidol (11.5%) and germacrene D (9–2%), while in the seed oil the major components were (Z)-tagetenone (15.3%), (E)-tagetenone (14.8%), (E)-nerolidol (10.3%), myrcene (7.4%), β-caryophyllene (7.4%), 3-carene (3–9%) and α-humulene (3.5%). Some interesting minor compounds have been found, namely myrcenone (= ipsdienone), (E)-2(3)- and (Z)-2(3)-tagetenone epoxide and ambrettolide (mainly in the seed oil).

摘要:
The yield and composition variation of the AlgerianRosmarinus officinalisas a function of plant life cycle was studied. Best period to collect the plant was found to be at full flowering stage. However, to obtain required oil quality, a compromise between oil yield and composition must be considered.
