摘要:
The occurrence of oxygen heterocyclic compounds in the peel oils from differentCitrusspecies has been investigated by high performance liquid chromatography. The use of a photodiode array detector has facilitated the identification and quantification of the individual coumarins, psoralens and polymethoxyflavones present. Certain oxygen heterocyclic compounds are unique to a particular species, but the majority occur widely in the peel oils. Nevertheless, the patterns of occurrence are sufficiently diverse to permit the detection of peel oil from one species in that from another.

摘要:
To compare the regional variations of the quantitative chemical composition, some Mediterranean citrus oils (lemon, sweet orange, bitter orange, and mandarin) from Italy and Spain have been studied. Over 100 constituents were identified in the various oils, from which 80 components could be quantified.

摘要:
Coarsely ground cinnamon(Cinnamomum zeylanicum)was extracted using supercritical CO2in commercially available equipment. The extracts were made at 50°C with pressures varying from 300–600 bar. The extracts were compared chemically with a methylene chloride oleoresin and a water-distilled oil. It was found that the chemical composition between all of the materials was very similar. The cinnamaldehyde and eugenol contents varied from 75.72% to 83.19% and 1.57% to 2.40%, respectively. From this study, it can be concluded that for supercritical CO2extraction of cinnamon at 500C, pressures greater than 300 bar are not necessary.

摘要:
The cutaneous reactions of commercially available absolutes, concretes and extracts used as raw materials in the fragrance industry were examined in detail. Using epicutaneous and photo patch tests on undiluted products, the concentration at which the irritant activity and phototoxicity was no longer observed was determined for 42 different raw materials. Further-more, the allergic reaction to the test substances by subjects previously sensitized by Peru balsam oil and/or perfumes and other fragrance materials also was determined. It was found that extracts that should be used at restricted concentrations because of their phototoxic or irritant activity were the absolutes of Aleppo pine needle, juniper, Kuberose laurel leaf, nutmeg, tarragon (estragon), rae, clove bud, jasmin, sage, lavender, lavandin, thyme, immortelle and wild chamomile.

摘要:
The essential oil obtained fromLaurus nobilisleaves, which were collected throughout the year, were studied using gas chromatography. During the period of highest essential oil yield (end of August), lower percentages of hydrocarbons and higher percentages of oxygenated compounds were found.
