摘要:
Using GC/MS and GC/FTIR, the chemical composition of the headspace of lovage root has been examined. It was found to contain 20 compounds of which β-phellandrene (16.47%), citronellal (12.84%) and ligustilide (20.91%) were found to be the major components. The chemical composition of a series of essential oils produced from concretes made from a range of solvents of differing polarities were also examined.

摘要:
The essential oils of two plants(Hedeoma mandonianaandMinthostachys andina)of the mint family from the high valleys and mountains of Bolivia have been analyzed by a combination of GC/MS and retention indices. Both oils were found to contain pulegone as the major compound. The physical and chemical properties of the oils are similar to those of the well-known American and European pennyroyal oils.

摘要:
The major components of the volatile leaf oil ofJ. foetidissimaof Greek origin are sabinene (19.6%), α-thujone (18.6%), terpinen-4-ol (17.6%) and γ-terpinene (6.5%). Minor compounds are α-terpinene (4.3%),/3-thujone (3.5%), cedrol (3.2%), myrcene (2.7%), and α-pinene (2.6%). Polychemism for high and low α-thujone was found (39.9 to 0.2%). Fifty two of 56 constituents are identified.

摘要:
Glycosidic bound volatile compounds obtained by enzymatic hydrolysis of aqueous extracts of ‘stabilized’ fresh leaves and needles of 16 Coniferae species, were analyzed by capillary GC. Six aliphatic and aromatic alcohols and two monoterpene alcohols were found.

摘要:
Experiments were conducted to study the response pattern of geranium(Pelargonium graveolensL' H' r. ex Aiton) to fertilizers, and the variation of essential oil constituents under varied agroclimatic regions in India (one temperate and two semi-arid tropical locations ranging in altitude from 542 to 2200 m above mean sea level and in soil pH from 5.1 to 8.0). The essential oil yields were higher at lower altitude regions than at higher altitudes. The oil produced from plants grown in the temperate climate of high altitude location was richer in menthone, citronellol, nerol and geraniol, while the oil produced from plants grown at lower altitude locations was richer in isomenthone, linalool, citronellyl formate and an unidentified compound.

摘要:
Dihydrocarvyl-, Neodihydrocarvyl-;trans-carvyl-,cis-carvyl-and 3-octyl-β-D-glucosides were extracted from the aboveground plant material ofMentha gentilisf.cardiaca(Sm.) Briq. (Scotch spearmint) for the first time. The structures of these compounds were confirmed by comparing their retention times on gas chromatography and MS data with those of synthesized glucosides.

摘要:
Two chemotypes ofEucalyptus cloezianahave been detected. The leaf essential oil of one contains mostly α-pinene, with small amounts of other monoterpenes and approximately 10% of sesquiterpenes. The second chemotype contains the β-triketone tasmanone, 4,6,6-trimethyl-5-methoxy-2-isobutanoyl-cyclohex-4-en-l,3-dione (96%) as its principal component. Some taxonomic implications forE. cloezianaand associated species groups withinEucalyptusare discussed.
