摘要:
The constituents of the essential oil of the underground parts ofGeum montanumL. were investigated by GC and GC/MS. Seventy-two compounds could be identified with (Z)-ligustilide (14.9%), α-phellandrene (8.5%) and dill apiole (7.7%) as main components. The occurrence of some phthalides and 2-penten-l-yl-l, 3-cyclohexadiene is noteworthy, since they are untypical compounds in essential oils of Rosaceae.

摘要:
Capillary gas chromatography coupled on-line with isotope ratio mass spectrometry (GC/IRMS) is used to determine the δ13CPDB-values of some typical peppermint oil constituents. By the method of the internal isotopic standard (i-IST), a characteristic isotopic fingerprint of authentic peppermint oil is established and used for the authenticity control of commercially available peppermint oils. Furthermore, enantioselective capillary gas chromatography in combination with IRMS (enantio-GC/IRMS) is used to prove the genuineness of peppermint oil.

摘要:
The oil chemical composition was studied in several populations ofJuniperus communis, J. sibirica (J. nana sensuPignatti) andJ. intermediagrowing spontaneously in the northwestern Italian Alps. The oil ofJ. communiswas characterized by high percentages of sabinene (32% to 47%) and low values of α-pinene (9% to 22%), whereasJ. sibiricashowed opposite values (respectively 0.3% to 25% and 9% to 46%). The oil chemical composition ofJ. intermediashowed intermediate values for both sabinene (28%) and α-pinene (20%) when compared to the other two taxa. The data obtained from GC/MS analyses of the oils were used to study the chemotaxonomic characters of the three taxa. Chemometrics included multivariate statistical analyses such as Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Cluster Analysis (CA) and Discriminant Analysis (DA). The results of this investigation indicated that most of the populations considered asJ. intermediashowed a statistically significant different oil composition when compared toJ. communisandJ. sibirica. The taxonomic position ofJ. intermediawas also discussed.

摘要:
The essential oils obtained from the leaves, bare branches, flower buds and mature fruits ofEucalyptus globulusLabill, collected along the Montenegro seaboard in Yugoslavia, and in the region of the East Spanish coast on the Mediterranean Sea were examined by using GC and GC/MS. The leaf oils were found to contain 1,8-cineole (4.10–50.30%) depending upon maturity and origin of their collection site. Other major components of the leaf oils were α-pinene (0.05–17.85%), p-cymene (trace-27.22%), cryptone (0.00–17.80%) and spathulenol (0.12–17.00%). In contrast, the fruit, bud and branch oils contained α-thujene (0.00%, 11.95% and trace respectively), 1,8-cineole (15.31%, 36.95% and 56.96% respectively) and aromadendrene (23.33%, 16.57% and 8.24% respectively).

摘要:
The essential oils obtained from the aerial parts (stems, leaves and flowers) ofZingiber zerumbet(L.) Sm. of Vietnamese origin were subjected to analyses by GC and GC/MS. About 40 compounds have been identified in the stem and leaf oils of this species, accounting for more than 84% and 82% of the oils, respectively. The major components of these oils appeared to be (Z)-nerolidol (16.8% and 22.3%, respectively), β-caryophyllene (10.4%, 11.2%), zerumbone (21.3%, 2.4%), and trans-phytol (7.0%, 12.6%). Predominant minor constituents included β-pinene (5.4%, 5.2%), α-humulene (2.5%, 2.9%), caryophyllene oxide (1.1%, 5.5%) and linalool (1.1%, 2.4%). The volatile flower oil was found to contain more than 60 components, of which 45 compounds, making up 85% of the oil, have been identified. (Z)-nerolidol (36.3%) and β-caryophyllene (13.2%) were the major constituents.

摘要:
Variations in oil content and the chemical composition of the oil of two chemotypes (G-1 and G-2) of scented geranium were investigated in different seasons in a semiarid tropical climate in south India. The results showed that weather parameters such as atmospheric temperatures and rainfall have influenced the oil content and its chemical composition. Increases in maximum temperatures reduced oil content in G-1, increased citronellol in G-1 and G-2, and increased citronellyl formate in G-1. Rainfall increased geraniol in G-2. Geraniol and citronellol in G-1 were highly negatively correlated.

摘要:
The secretory elements of the essential oil fromColeus aromaticusfrom Martinique were observed under the scanning electron microscope. The composition of the oil was analyzed and found to consist mainly of phenoh'c components, with carvacrol (72%) being the major compound. Five compounds were identified for the first time in the oil ofC. aromaticus. They were (Z)-1,3-hexadiene (0.1%), (Z)-3-hexenol (0.6%), (E,Z)-α-farnesene (0.2%), (E.E)-α-farnesene (0.2%) and α-muurolene (0.2%). The biostatic activity of the leaf oil was tested on six bacterial and six fungal strains. It was found to have activity againstVibrio cholerawith a MIC of 0.125 mg/mL.

摘要:
The volatile components ofCucumis melossp.dudaim(pocket melon), which were isolated by continuous extraction with isopentane, were identified by a combination of retention indices and GC/MS. Forty-eight constituents were identified in the aroma concentrate, from which hexanol (11.52%), chavicol (11.33%), (Z)-3-hexenol (6.84%), benzyl alcohol (3.54%) and eugenol (3.48%) were found to be the major constituents. The amount of chavicol found in the aroma concentrate was thought to contribute to the unique aroma character of the pocket melon.
