摘要:
Comparison of the essential oils from different plant parts ofChaerophyllum hirsutumL. shows, that the qualitative composition of the oils of the above-ground parts is very similar, however, the percentage of individual components differs significantly. Among the monoterpene hydro-carbons β-pinene is the main constituent of the fruit oil where it is present in about 25%. In the stem and leaf oils, sabinene can be found in 58.2% and 25.9%, respectively. The important oxygenated terpenoids with distinctly different proportions are acorenone-B and a new sesquiterpene lactone with a guaiane skeleton. Acorenone-B occurs in the fruit oil up to 18%, in the leaf oil up to 9% and only in traces in the stem oil. The sesquiterpene lactone shows a similar distribution with about 4% in the fruit and leaf oils and very small amounts in the stem oil.

摘要:
Although lavender oil generally is produced by steam distillation of the harvested flowering topsof Lavandula angustifolia, the use of a two-stage production method was examined. First, the flowering tops were extracted with 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane (CFC-113) to yield a concrete. The concrete then was steam distilled to produce an oil of higher yields. GC/MS analysis showed that the oil produced in this way was richer in sesquiterpenes than a steam distilled oil. Seventy-three compounds, representing 81.8% of the total essential oil, were identified. The remaining 18.2% was comprised mainly of compounds with molecular weights greater than 220.

摘要:
The chemical composition of an oil ofSantolina chamaecyparissushas been examined by standard GC and GC/MS techniques. In addition to artemisia ketone (25–40%), other compounds possessing this artemisyl skeleton such as artemisia triene (trace), yomogi alcohol (0.8–1.2%) and artemisia alcohol (0.5–1.0%) were found in this same oil.

摘要:
Twenty-two constituents of laurel leaf oil originating from five different geographical places in Turkey have been quantified. The percentage of 1,8-cineole exceeds those of other oils described in literature. The antimicrobial activity was studied with several strains of bacteria and yeasts as well as some molds.

摘要:
A dynamic headspace procedure is used for examination of the volatiles from freshly, unearthed entire black Perigord truffles. The method used a modified gas chromatographic device known as Desorption—Concentration—GC Introduction (DCI). The system is based on flushing a glass flask containing an entire truffle with an inert gas, cryogenic adsorption of the volatiles on a Tenax GC trap followed by a thermal desorption. The analysis is carried out by a combination of the DCI system with capillary gas chromatography and mass spectrometry. The contribution of the major identified com-pounds to the final aroma impression is evaluated. The formulation of a nature-identical flavoring is discussed.

摘要:
The effects of different propagation methods, mulching and nitrogen fertilization on the herb yield and volatile oil content and composition of dragonhead(Dracocephalum moldavicaL.) were studied in order to find the optimal cultivation techniques for Finnish conditions. Transplants gave a higher herb yield than sown plants, and an oil richer in geranyl acetate. Mulching had no effect on the volatile oil content or composition. The herb yield was greater in 1987, because of a cold summer. Moderate nitrogen fertilization (<30 kg/ha) significantly increased the herb yield, and higher doses had no further effect.

摘要:
The essential oils fromVanillosmopsis arboreaBaker grown in Brazil were analyzed by capillary gas chromatography and mass spectrometry. β-Caryophyllene accounted for 23 percent of the oil extracted from the leaves, α-bisabolol for 70 percent of the oil extracted from the bark after steam distillation and more than 95 percent of the oil extracted from wood with hexane. Twelve more compounds were identified in the former oil and 11 more constituents were identified in the oil extracted from barks.
