摘要:
UV-B radiation affects the oil chemical composition as well as morphology, total protein and total phenol content of peppermint(Mentha piperita). The essential oil content was slightly increased by UV-B radiation, and the menthol content was significantly decreased because of increased synthesis of menthone, menthofuran and menthyl acetate. The effect on plant morphology was a significant inhibition of stem elongation, accompanied by changes in leaf area. Protein content and total phenols were increased when plants were irradiated with UV-B, whereas no significant effects were observed for chlorophyll content. The economic and ecological importance of UV-B effect on peppermint essential oil is also discussed.

摘要:
Essential oils were obtained from leaves of sevenCrassocephalumspecies and were analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Forty-three compounds representing 92-99% of the oils were identified. OnlyC. biafraeshowed preponderant amounts of sesquiterpenes: among them germacrene D was the most abundant. In the other analyzed samples, monoterpene hydrocarbons predominated. The principal constituents in this group were α-phellandrene, p-cymene, pinenes, myrcene, limonene and (E)-β-ocimene.

摘要:
The essential oils from the aerial parts ofGrindelia robustaandG. squarrosawere analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively by GC and GS/MS. Forty-nine compounds were identified by MS and RT data, 11 compounds were identified by comparison of their MS or RT with data from the literature. 1,2,3,4-Tetrahydro-1,1,5,6-tetramethyl naphthalene was isolated by means of preparative HPLC and its structure was characterized on the basis of MS and NMR evidence. The total quantities of the oils obtained by hydrodistillation was about 0.1% of the dry weight (flowers). Leaves and stems of theGrindeliaspecies differed in their oil content. (Iso)-bornyl C - and C -ester were found to be characteristic components of the essential oil ofG. squarrosa.

摘要:
The composition of the water-distilled essential oil ofPsiadia arguta(Pers.) Voigt, an endemic plant species belonging to the Asteraceae family from Mauritius, was determined by GC/MS on a polar and non-polar columns. 摘要:
Oils ofPinus sylvestrisL. produced from plant material collected from different locations in Lithuania have been investigated by GC and GC/MS. The oil content in many samples was approximately 1 mL/100 g (dry weight) with few exceptions when it was slightly higher or lower. More than 70 constituents were identified (64 positively and 10 tentatively) in the oils. α-Pinene (18.5-33.0%) and δ-3-carene (9.1-24.6%) were dominating constituents with the only one exception when the germacrene-4-ol content in one of the samples was 13.2%. The important bornyl acetate content varied from 0.5% to 3.0%. The main sesquiterpenes were β-caryophyllene, germacrene D, bicyclogermacrene, δ-cadinene, γ-cadinene, germacrene D-4-ol, cubenol (2.0-5.1%) and α-cadinol (1.9-7.7%).
